East Side neighborhood Denver Heights has a rich history and a current mix of longtime residents and new dwellers who are coming together to preserve its past while enabling growth in its future.

When it comes to San Antonio history, it’s hard to overstate the significance of Denver Heights. It’s one of the city’s older and historically African-American neighborhoods. Although only about a dozen city blocks wide, Denver Heights in its prime was home to bustling intersections of small business, churches, a thriving arts and music community and charming residences.
