The house absolutely beautiful, squeaky clean and looks just like the pictures. The bedrooms are spacious with very comfortable bedding, spaces are all inviting and the kitchen has everything you need. There were lots of birds which we really enjoy and I got some great pictures. We had a wonderful time, and would absolutely return!
Loved this place!!! One of the nicest houses we've ever stayed, and the perfect place to celebrate a special event. The floor plan of the kitchen/ living room was great for our large group. Multiple spaces allowed us to enjoy hanging out while watching playoff football on the big screen, and have morning coffee in the patio or front porch. Also, a great central location if people are coming from both the Pittsburgh and Philadelphia areas. We're currently trying to figure out a reason to book it again!!!
Great stay, value, and experience.
Everything was as stated in the listing. The mattresses were really comfortable and everything was clean and tidy. Melissa communicated often and our stay went well.
we loved the house and the location was perfect for our trip acclimations we’re wonderful!
Check in was @ 4p.m. At 3:57 p.m. I messaged her for the code as I was instructed it would arrive in the morning. Her reply was that check in wasn't until 4p.m. 3 minutes. The amount of petty in that reply just shook me. We had stayed here the previous year and had a lovely time and the host was very nice. So we re-booked. When we got to property and checked in we noticed that the upstairs thermostat was off and locked so I asked her for the code. Her reply was, It's the same as last year and then went on to say the upstairs thermostat only controlled a/c . I replied that I thought she was extremely rude. Next thing you know she has given us 30 minutes to vacate the property, 10:30 pm @ night on a weekend of Fall foliage where the likelihood of finding other accommodations are very slim. The house is great, location is great, host...not so much
The house was just as described.. we had an amazing stay. Melissa was great
We really enjoyed our stay in this historic home. I cannot believe how well preserved the woodworking is - you can tell a lot of work and love went into this home! The bed was super comfortable, upstairs was a bit hot at night but we were able to use a fan and crack a window. Everything was clean and kitchen was stocked with everything you’d need to cook meals at home. Wifi was reliable and strong for remote teleconferencing and streaming. I accidentally forgot my phone inside with the door passcode and Melissa was able to help me get back inside within 5 minutes. I walked my dog around the block in the mornings and evenings with no problems. Spacious parking spot in the back of the property. We were hoping to learn the history of the home so hopefully that will be added in the future!
Very nice house with many thoughtful amenities.
We loved this beautiful historic home! We used it as a meeting point traveling from Ohio to join our son from NY for Father’s Day weekend. I cooked three big meals in the well stocked gorgeous kitchen. The dining room was spacious for our meals and playing cards. The house was very clean and the beds comfortable. The outdoor seating area was lovely both in the backyard and front porch. We hiked Trough Creek State Park which was very nice. We had a great stay. Bonnie & Rick from Ohio
Close to Breezewood but away from the busy hotel area. Also a short drive to the 911 memorial.
