Gone Coastal: A Lake Michigan Beach House

The house was as we expected. We loved the views of the Lake and being able to enjoy the fall foliage on the road leading to the cabin. Perfect spot for a fall get away.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this charming residence. It was clean and comfortable, with all the conveniences one could want. We were amazed at how quiet the area was! The views of Lake Michigan were spectacular and the weather was perfect, which I'm sure the owner arranged for us...ha-ha! The walk to the beach was quite near. Our host Melissa was easy to access and was so helpful when I had questions. Our week was too short, of course, and we would love to return some day! Mary Ansel

Our stay was probably 4.5 stars overall. The place was great for 8 adults - plenty of beds, space for all around the table, a large living area and outdoor deck area too. The only down side was the oven didn't work. Our group brings food and plans dinners so that was kind of a bummer. But with a new oven we would definitely come back! The beach is a short walk away and the sunsets are also visible from the deck. A beautiful spot for friends to gather.

The property was just as presented, clean and perfectly located for us. We were pleasantly entertained for a quick fall getaway.

The location is across the road from Lake Michigan and so close you can the roar of the lake at night. I grew up in Montague and wanted my family to experience the beauty of the lake, and we did.2. The host definitely designed the cottage to entertain children. There were games, toys and even an old school desk. We appreciated the thoughtfulness.3. The cottage is clean, comfortable and has a completely stocked kitchen.4. The cottage would have gotten 5 stars if a little more attention to details had been done. There was blue tape on a bedroom door saying not to close the door because the doorknob was broken and a broken mirror was left in the upstairs bedroom.

The house is so inviting! It fit our family very well. House was clean and stocked well with necessities. Plenty of space and cozy spots to curl up and read. We enjoyed all being around the table in the evening playing games. Easy walk to the beach. Beautiful clean beach with clear water. Very quiet, friendly area. Easy access to local attractions. Owner was easy to contact and very accommodating. Would definitely consider another vacation at this location.

Overall we were pleased. The toilets both stopped up. Able to plunge the main floor one. Great response on the issue and a plumber was sent out still had trouble and the toilet was replaced the next day. Found Drano for the kitchen sink. Some of the dressers and kitchen cupboards could use replacing or at least painting We would return. Easy to get to the beach and neighborhood was very quiet

Only a few houses away from Lake Michigan access, don't forget to bring beach chairs. Check out Whitehall grocery, ice cream shops and restaurants.

We loved our stay, it was a great location with private beach access and very few people anywhere near us on the beach. It was just what we were looking for.

Great place for multi-generational vacation. Plenty of kid beach toys, books and games. Comfortable beds and lots of towels for the beach. This was a return trip for us and we all were glad to be back. The beach is clean easy to access.

This is the second time that we have stayed here. It’s a very comfortable home. Clean and beautiful. A quick walk to the lake and a quick drive into town. This is an amazing place to relax and a wonderful host

From the Check in day to when we left on Sunday it was such a great stay! The House was so clean & everything there was super cute! We had a wonderful time walking on the beach & getting away from everyday life together! Many laughs & memories made.

We had a great time...walked the beach day and night! The grill worked fine also along with the other appliances. The view is spectacular and there is plenty of room for the family

We enjoyed the stay. Beach is so great! Beautiful views. Set on deck and saw eagles and boats. Lots of deer. Nice neighbors. Only did not like steps to main floor, but we dis it!

We had a lovely stay in Lost Valley. Our family visited for a wedding celebration. The listing was accurate....loved the open common area and large deck. We could hear the lake waves and watch boats. The kitchen had all we needed.

We had a great electronics free week with our teen and preteen! There was enough room for everyone to have space, but also when we gathered for meals and games. Second time staying at Gone Coastal. Great location, just across the road from the shoreline. Beach is nice and quiet and access is a short walk.

We had a great time playing on the beach and doing some activities in the area. House was clean, check in was easy, everything was nice.

My family and I absolutely loved this house! The neighborhood was great and all of the neighbors were really friendly. The house is just a really short walk to the beach which is where we spent most of the week. We also went kayaking in a nearby town - Whitehall on White Lake which was really peaceful. Communication with the owner was the best I have ever had, she was so helpful and was really there for us when we needed her. We would definitely stay here again and would suggest this house to anyone who wants a relaxing getaway on Lake Michigan!
