Tucked among the evergreens on the 17th hole of the Prospector Golf Course, this Cle Elum house is a place for taking in the year-round beauty of Suncadia Resort. Spend your summers practicing your drive, renting watercraft for the lake, and playing tennis and horseshoes at the nearby parks. Come winter, you canstep outside your backdoor and go cross-country skiing and snowshoeing on the golf course.

This two-level lodge is ideally situated within Suncadia Resort, one block from Battista Park's basketball courts and horseshoe pits, one mile from both the Village Lake and the tennis courts at Dawson Park, and right alongside the Prospector Golf Course. You'll even have four bikes at home to help you explore the resort's extensive trail system.

Step inside to find a host of elegant details inspired by nature - stone tile, a stacked stone fireplace and breakfast bar, richly hued wood at every turn, and a built-in, live-edge desk in the office. Leave the day's clothes and gear in the laundry room and make yourself at home in the living room, where you can light the gas fireplace, watch TV, and enjoy the light of generous windows beneath two-story ceilings. The adjacent kitchen is full of small luxuries (a wine chiller, a convection microwave, a gas oven and stovetop, and a large refrigerator/freezer), while the dining room is warmed by the other side of the living room fireplace.

The covered outdoor patio is equally inviting, offering a gas grill and firepit, as well as plentiful cushioned seating with views of the trees and the golf course. As for entertainment, choose from a Ping-Pong table in the garage, a pool table upstairs, and Amazon Fire TV Sticks on each of the TVs.

Whoever is the communicator between us and someone who could help us with issues that we were having at the home was horrible and ruined an entire day at the rental home. All of the linens were left in the dryer and not put away. Were were asked if they had permission to enter the home, we said yes! Then they never came and we waited there waiting for the rest of the day. Zero communication! Outside of that the place is so dusty, missing light bulbs so the place was dark when the sun went down and no one was able to come help.

Overall the property and our stay was great. Only reason I gave it 4 stars was that the A/C wasn’t working. I did a little investigating and learned the fan on the outside unit wasn’t running, so it couldn’t cool the air. HVAC just blew warm air. I contacted Vacasa, the property manager, to let them know. I also shut off the breakers so it didn’t just run constantly blowing warm air. They were responsive and said they’d send someone. Since it was the weekend and we were leaving Monday morning, I didn’t figure we’d see anyone during our stay. This issue needed an HVAC technician, and I’m sure would need to get on someone’s schedule. We closed all the drapes during the day, then opened all the windows at night and stayed cool enough to still enjoy. We spend much of our time outside anyway, and the patio and grounds next to golf course are very enjoyable. It’s a wonderful house in a great neighborhood, and we definitely plan to stay again. We’re betting the air conditioner will be operational next time we come too!

The house itself is in a good location and is functionally fine. However, the property was not clean and the property manager, Vacasa, minimized and dismissed our concerns when we contacted them.More specifically, the patio furniture was so dirty that we could not sit on it without needing to change our clothes; there was an accumulation of dirt and debris on and between the cushions that had clearly been there for some time. And, the hot tub was set to 89 degrees. Vacasa spent a lot of time minimizing and dismissing us when we contacted them. They alternatively said that they did not have anyone to clean the property, that dirt and debris should be expected in a mountain cabin (Suncadia Resort is a golf course community of 1.5MM homes), and that the dirt was due to a storm (there was no storm). They also said that the hot tub (at 89 degrees) was set to their standard (we did get the hot tub working the second day and someone did show up to check on it once the temperature reached about 99 degrees - about half way through our trip). The most Vacasa said was that they apologized for the 'inconvenience' and that they were 'sorry to hear that.'Another (small) example of Vacasa's lack of care and service is the community event book on the kitchen counter; it only had materials from 2020 to 2022. It did not bother us, but the lack of effort to provide a more current community event book is consistent with the lack of cleaning and the lack of customer service in general.

The patio and outdoor furniture were so dirty that they were not usable. The hot tub was set to 89 degrees. Vacasa gaslighted our concerns. I paid more than $600 per night for what I thought was a nice house on the golf course so that I could relax on the patio and in the hot tub. The patio furniture was so dirty that we could not sit in it without needing to change clothes afterwards. It was clear that they had not been cleaned in some time. The hot tub was cold. I contacted Vacasa and sent pictures. At first, Vacasa agreed that someone needed to come to the property. The next day Vacasa said that it did not have anyone that could help with the patio furniture. It also said that cleaning the patio could not be done because the wind was blowing. Standing at the property, I can safely say that the wind was not blowing. I contacted Vacasa again and they said that the property was located in the mountains and that a dirty patio was to be expected. I responded that Suncadia was not in the mountains; that it was in a golf course community of $1.5MM homes. Vacasa said sorry to hear that. Vacasa also changed their story and said that the patio was dirty because there had been a storm. I responded that there had not been a storm, that a storm would not have caused the cob webs, and that the subject property was much dirtier than any of the surrounding properties. Vacasa responded with is there anything else [it] can do to help? I will note that someone did come to look at the hot tub about halfway through our stay after I got it working. The basic problem seems to be that Vacasa's own cleaning check list only requires the housekeepers to clean the BBQ and make sure the hot tub is turned on. (The check list was on the kitchen counter.) And that was followed by very poor customer service. There is one more item that may be worth mentioning. The 'community activities' book had events and flyers from 2020. It did not bother us, but it is probably indicative of Vacasa's lack of service. The house is physically ok. Vacasa should be avoided.

First, Vacasa was very quick to respond when I texted them questions. As stated in other reviews- VERY dark living room, no instructions for ANYTHING in the house. The hot tub wasn't filled up enough so jets were exposed. No one was able to get out to handle it. No instructions for gas fireplace ,there are no instructions how to access any apps on TV, there are no instructions for any check out procedures. It got to be disappointing and humorous at the same time, we had to continuously contact Vacasa for instructions and wait while they tried to get things answered. Checking in at 4:00 , it took the first hour and half to figure some very basic things out. Kitchen has basic dishware and cups, utensils . Be sure to bring your own napkins, and other cooking essentials. Dining table is off balance at the base, so the table top is uneven and unsteady when anyone puts any pressure on it, just a heads up. While its beyond me that so many reviewers complained about lack of instructions and the dark living room, and this wasn't corrected is ridiculous. Don't assume anything from previous reviews has been corrected. Great neighborhood, fun to walk the deer and pheasants in the yard in the morning , so not all bad!

This is a terrific house in a great location. It was just right for 6 of us (adults) and had plenty of seating for all of us to have a great movie night. But... The house was not clean, dusty living room, when we closed the curtains clouds of dust emerged. The kitchen area: The oven was in need of a serious clean, the dishes needed to be cleaned and of the cooking utensils were also in need of a serious cleaning, so we did that as well. There was cleaning sponge in the sink that was so filthy we had to throw it away. They had a hot water kettle that we would use for tea, but when we looked inside it has standing water in it that was cloudy, so we emptied it and never used it. The good news is that the bathrooms and sheets were clean! There is no manual in the house to identify how to work things, or what to do. There are several things that didn't work - for example the living room is somewhat dark at night and the wall sconces would not work, there are switches and controls on the wall in several rooms that appear to do nothing, the sound system did not work, the TV has a fire stick, but it needs a password to use it, which they did not provide. I'm sure the PIN was in the manual if we could only find it! We were afraid to use the hot tub based on the other issues we found so can't comment accurately on that. We tried contacting the manager but only got an AI bot response! This should be a great property but needs professional management.

We arrived with our four adult children for a Christmas vacation. The home was a great size for us. Even though the living room had terrible lighting we noticed cobwebs within minutes of arriving. A LOT of cobwebs and many very dusty cobwebs. The floor was dirty. The downstairs master bath shower had dark adherent something on the floor. The sheets on all beds were dirty. The dishwasher full of dirty dishes. The heavy drapes in the LR and Master BR were laden with dust. The ceiling fans - thick with dust. When I used the cooktop to prepare dinner, grease started to drip from the vent above the cooktop. There was one roll of paper towel and one garbage bag for our 4-day stay. The garbage can in the garage was half full with garbage as was the recycling bin. I called Vacasa, the property management company to complain. They said they would talk with the local company and get back to me. I called three times the first evening because I did not get a return call. I wanted someone to come clean the house. They offered to refund the cleaning fee which is great. I accepted but wanted a clean house. My husband and I talked to two different people on Monday before they told us no one could come clean but we could leave for a full refund. By then we had cleaned kitchen and sheets. We stayed, cleaned the cobwebs. They refunded the equivalent of one night's stay.

The house had great amenities and location. The games were great to have for the family and the location was beautiful. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen and bathrooms with the necessities. We were a little disappointed with the amount of dust on the surfaces and the lack of lighting made it dim in the living room. Overall good rental, just needs a good deep cleaning and consideration for better living room lighting.

A beautiful home inside and out. It had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. All the amenities and very comfortable. Communication was excellent. The only negative was the carpet upstairs was a bit stained. I would definitely rent this home again.

The house and location are great! We had a great time and loved the resort and exploring the area. I read a few other reviews about the cleanliness of the house, and figured the issues would have been addressed before we arrived, and was disappointed to find they had not. There are cobwebs all throughout the house, many of the dishes were dirty, and the outdoor furniture had to be cleaned before we could use it. Additionally, the couch is old and very uncomfortable and needs to be replaced, the bbq was out of propane, one of our guests almost fell off the front porch due to a loose stone, and oddly all of the towels on top of the washer and dryer were still wet when we went to use them on day two. I’ve stayed in several Vrbo homes before and hate to complain but this home would be so much better if it was well cleaned and maintained. We will definitely return to Suncadia, but not to this home because of these issues.
