Golf Cart! | Lakefront Villa at Sandestin – On The Rocks ☀️

Great value for Sandestin! This villa is in great proximity to everything! From fishing off the back patio, swimming in the nearby pools, golfing, or soaking up the sun on the white sandy beaches, swimming in the blue green waters, shopping, great restaurants… this place has it all! Kuddos to the 5-star staff who was a phone call away and always very kind and helpful. Great for a family or couples stay!

We rented this property for the golf cart, but we were not able to use the golf cart. The key to the golf cart is stored in a lock box and we were not given the code. We had to call Real Joy in order to get the code and get the key out. Then we went to use the golf cart only to find out the brakes were in bad shape and appeared to have been that way for a while. We called Real Joy to let them know the golf cart was usable and needed repaired hoping they would switch it out with another one. Keep in mind this was on the Saturday we checked in. None of the agents that we finally talked to were able to help and said the only thing they can do is put us on a list and let a manager know and someone would more than likely talk to us once we checked out, which doesn't make any sense. On Sunday we went to ride the bicycles that are provided since the golf cart didn't work and no one has maintained these either. The seats were loose, the tires needed air and were in bad shape. So, we called back to Real Joy again about getting another golf cart and did not get any help. Monday, we went out and came back to the unit and there were a crib and highchair sitting outside in front of the front door. We again called Real Joy to let them know someone dropped these off at the wrong address. They were supposed to let maintenance know. We checked out on Tuesday and the crib and highchair were still there. Real Joy Vacations provided zero help with anything and horrible customer service.

We come to Sandestin every spring break and is one of the family highlights of the year. Unfortunately the unit was double booked so we had another family come knocking on our door the first day shortly after arrival, which was very uncomfortable being they expected us to get out of the unit. Parking was a disaster, was not able to use the golf cart since they decided to inform us there was a 500 deposit upon arrival after thinking it was included based on the description of the unit (one of the main reasons we booked the unit). Furniture was in terrible shape, no extra linens and the back porch door would not lock which made us very uncomfortable being we have two young children. The unit itself was ok but felt cheap. You could tell they had taken a lot of shortcuts and the screen porch had a rip in the screen which was not a big deal but didn’t send a good first impression. Overall I would not recommend the company more than I would not recommend the unit. Felt very bait and switch from the description of the unit and amenities that came along with it. Will not be using them again.

We had an awesome experience staying at 5079 on the rocks. The location was on the beachside of the complex. It also was a short walk to the pool. Real Joy representatives contact me throughout the week to ensure our stay was 5 star. The best of all was having access to the golf cart. We used it numerous times to get around the complex. I will definitely book again. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.

This property is advertised as a 5-star experience, but I would rate it as a solid 3 stars.There were several issues during our stay: the bikes had flat tires and were unusable, the grill had not been cleaned, and there was leftover food in the fridge. The dryer took all night to dry a few beach towels, and we found sand and trash under the sofa cushions. Both bathtubs had hair clogs, and there was hair left on the walls. Additionally, we noticed the neighbors using our golf cart charging cord.That said, the service team and customer support staff were truly exceptional, prompt, courteous, and very responsive. I was refunded for the inconveniences, which I greatly appreciated. Their professionalism made a disappointing experience much more manageable.

We had a great stay at this location! The main problem was that the golf cart was not available because it was getting repaired. The property manager offered to split the cost to rent one, but no one rents golf carts to Sandestin because of the rules of the resort. The property manager did their best to remedy the situation, and they did a great job communicating back and forth with us about what steps they were taking. Ultimately, we did not have a golf cart for our stay which makes navigating Sandestin tricky (and makes your vehicle quite sandy). The rental company did a nice job following up upon departure and did a partial refund for the inconvenience, which was greatly appreciated. The house was nice but very sandy. (We know it is a beach house, but questioned how much cleaning happened between guests beyond linen changes etc.) The location is great and the kitchen was stocked with everything we could need.

On the rocks villa was a great place to stay. The location on the san destin property was one of the best that we've stayed at. The communication with rental company was quick and easy. They were very responsive and also very on top of sending info about check in, codes needed and check out process. The condo was very clean and very well stocked with everything we needed (like extra towels, toilet paper, etc) the tv downstairs is a smart tv, the ones in the bedrooms are not (that i could tell, but that was fine) the beds with the toppers were comfortable but worn down some, the matresses could use flipping or upgrades. The only downside was the golf cart. The front seat had (and has for awhile) rusted out and we got to be the lucky ones that it finally snapped on. We had barely sat in the seat to back out our first day there and it broke completely. We were disappointed about not being able to use it but totally understand that the sea air takes its toll on these things. The management company was very helpful and responsive on the updates of the golf cart and refunding our money pd for the golf cart. Even though having the gold cart to use was a major reason why we rented this condo, and we didnt have use if it, we would definitely stay here again because of the location, the management company, and the overall condo itself. It was large enough for our family of 4, and would have been plenty big enough for a couple more to stay with us as well!

We spent 7 days and it was perfect. Beautiful home for family’s. Will definitely be booking again!
