The 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home, comprising a spacious open plan living area connecting with the rear alfresco and extended deck area with magnificent views to surrounding mountains and vacant land filled with local wildlife.     We enjoyed the cleanliness of the home, the active bird life in the backyard, and the excellent location for walking to the botanical gardens and Venus Baths.However, we encountered several functional and safety concerns. The air conditioning was only effective in the living room, leaving the bedrooms uncomfortably warm. The stove knob markings were completely worn away, making it difficult to safely gauge gas flow, and we noted a lack of a carbon monoxide detector despite the gas appliance. General maintenance is also needed: the showerhead would not stay in position and a bedroom window was difficult to open.Most disappointing was a post-stay damage claim regarding a sliding door lock. Upon returning from an outing, we discovered the lock had failed mechanically and the door was partially open. We reported this to the host immediately. The host’s husband replaced the lock himself using a spare part they already had; however, a claim was still issued for a full replacement and a professional “call-out fee.” When I attempted to discuss this, the host declined to communicate and referred all inquiries to the platform. To be charged for what appeared to be standard wear and tear, especially after a stay where we were very respectful of the property, was an unfortunate end to our trip.

    House was well prepared for a group of people staying very confident to town where food and everything you need is in townHouse was very cleanAnd house has plenty of equipment like plates glassesAnd extras like hand soaps and all cleaning stuff for kitchen Lots of dvdsAnd fantastic communication with the ownerWe had a few hot days and the fans in the bedrooms just didn't cope wellBut it was hot but the house has an aircon in the lounge area which was good But on hot nights need a bit more cooling in the bedroomsAll rooms had heaters as well if you are going when it is cold which we didn't needThe house just what you need and cleanAnd even has a bbq if you wanted to cookAnd you can walk to everything you wantWill stay again when we come backAnd it was a good price compared to other stays in the areaAnd had 2 bathroom which was a good thingI would happily recommend this houseThank you a very happy customer

    The house is in an excellent location for exploring the village of Halls Gap and the beautiful surroundings. All rooms in the house are clean and the beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is well supplied and the living room very comfortable.

    Lovely clean house with stunning views and plenty of wildlife. Heaters in each room, fire pit, great for kids with toys, high chair, portacot and pram available.Walking distance to the shops.

    Great location. Walking distance to the centre of Halls Gap... So cafes, dinner, wine, general store! We hiked, wined, and fire pitted! Perfect chill girls weekend.

    Entry was easy. The house is very close to the shops and to the start of some walks. The kitchen was well stocked with cutlery and crockery. Internet speed was excellent. Towels were nice, beds comfortable. There are 2 steps leading into property, and off the deck. A rail would have been great as I have bad knees.

    Beautiful property. Stunning views and friendly wildlife that kept the kids entertained. Overall the property was very clean and being such a short walk to the main street made our stay so enjoyable
