Very nice cabin, good location, great support from the management company.
The property is nice but no a/c and it was warm so we needed to open the windows. This was not pleasant as the house backs up to a Very busy road. The noise was really loud. The downstairs was lovely. Nice kitchen and large living area. The upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms were tiny. The bathrooms had NO counter space.
A beautiful space to stay, very comfortable for six adults. There were a lot of small hiccups that added up to be annoying. The primary one was non-potable tap water. After much back and forth, we were able to get a very small discount and the property management supplied 10 gallons of water for our weekend. Location was great for accessing Mt. Baker.
I wish I cooked more because that kitchen was roomy and well equipped (except for the notable absence of a wine opener but we should all bring our own). The house is big, the beds are comfortable, wifi good, hot water plentiful, check in and out are easy, quick access to the road to the ski area... all good. The fireplace is a nice touch, the cathedral ceilings in the living room give the place a grand feeling. The only surprise was some traffic noise since you are right by the 2 lane highway up Mt. Baker. It was only noticeable during the busy hours up and down the mountain.
Beautiful property, very clean with fantastic amenities. 25 minutes to Mount Baker ski resort. Not too far from highway so if you are a light sleeper this is might be a small issue. All in all a very great place to stay, which we would book again in a heartbeat!
We had a 3 night stay just prior to Christmas, arriving the day before a snowstorm! The check in process was quick & easy and directions straightforward. Just a note that the roads in the area can get quite icy in winter months, especially up to Mt Baker, so AWD & snow tires are a must. Our first impression of the place was great, it was warm and welcoming, everything we needed was there, including a snow shovel and brush for our car (which came in handy as there was over a foot of snow that fell our first night). The living area was lovely and spacious and did not feel crowded with 6 of us staying there (4 adults and 2 young children). The TV was huge and was great for family movies! Our kids are used to navigating stairs, but this could be a challenge for others as it’s a large staircase to the upper level. The kitchen was big and equipped with basically everything we needed. Some parchment paper, aluminum foil & cling wrap would be handy though! Bedrooms were all very comfortable and the bathrooms were nice and clean. The powder room downstairs was very convenient, as was the mud room/laundry which we utilized. While other reviews have mentioned the road, this did not bother us. Perhaps the snow meant it was quieter than usual and it was too cold to have windows open, so there were no issues there for us at all. We would absolutely return again and hope to be able to soon!
Clean, spacious, well equipped
The cabin was in a perfect location for visiting family in NW Washington and SW British Columbia, and for hiking in the area mountains. The cabin itself was clean and is well-maintained. Highly recommended to any considering a vacation in this area.
We loved our girls' weekend and never left the house!
Large living room that is great for a family gathering. No cell coverage but fast Wi-Fi. Quiet neighborhood that is right off the highway; easy to get to Baker, or to Maple Falls or Glacier for supplies.
