Stayed Oct 27, 2025We loved the riverside location, and our wildlife sightings included a bald eagle and heron. The home was comfortable, well appointed with directions on how to use the amenities. The artwork was lovely and contributed to the artsy design of the Dome home. We had a wonderful stay.

Stayed Sep 10, 2025Upon arriving I foolishly gave a 5 rating for cleanliness. However we found urine in the toilet- not flush-toilet paper cover on bathroom floor, urine stains on little hassock, no extra blankets, very little drinking water and when requested more we’re told no.

Stayed Aug 2, 2025IT was great being able to find a place for the one night we were in town that was so unique and convenient. Definitely a gem. We hope to visit again soon and possibly stay longer to enjoy its beauty.

Stayed Jul 13, 2025This place was amazing in every way! Make sure you set aside time to just be present and enjoy the seclusion! 3 Deer greeted us on the driveway on the way in and we saw them often. We came back midday for naps with our small children and came back to the water being in the inlet which was stunning and so peaceful to relax in a hammock overlooking the water. I would love to come back to this property if I visit Boothbay again! Location was also perfect! So close to so many attractions! We did a little of everything all about 5-20 minutes away.

Stayed Jun 25, 2025This cozy dome home at the end of the road was the perfect spot for our stay in Boothbay. We especially loved the light filled and spacious living room for gathering and games. Eating dinner on the deck was divine. It's close proximity to the botanical gardens was another bonus. We will definitely stay here again.

Stayed Jun 17, 2025The house was perfect for our little barkers because it was secluded and comfortable. The BRLT trails are great and so many within a 20 mi radius. Maine is already very dog friendly.

Stayed Oct 7, 2024I hate to leave negative reviews at all but i wish i had been aware of some things. When we arrived inside smelt like a cat had sprayed. The main heating source was out of commission. The mini split in the bedroom would not work properly. We tinkered with it for quite some time and still coult not get it to work properly. There was animal fur all over the comforter, sheets, and pullow cases. My husband is allergic to dog and cat fur so this was a problem for us. We tried to contact the host with no response. Though the home is unique and cute with pretty views we were dissapointed.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The house was so charming, clean, and comfortable. We couldn’t have found a better place to stay during our visit to the Boothbay area. The Dome House is off the beaten track, right on a tidal river, which made every day and every hour a new private view. Be sure to schedule time to simply be. This is the perfect house for it!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this unique home. Nestled at the end of a dirt road, it was a perfect setting to relax and unwind. The house was quite comfortable and charming filled with the owner’s beautiful artwork. We had dinner at Water Street Kitchen and Bar in Wiscasset (known as the prettiest village in Maine) and highly recommend it. The food was excellent with atmosphere to match. Boothbay Harbor is a fun walkable town with something for everyone. We took a drive to Ocean Point and on our way back grabbed a couple lobster rolls at Ocean Point Marina, then headed back to the Dome home to enjoy on the deck overlooking the water. We were lucky to have perfect weather for it. Breakfast the next morning at East Boothbay General Store was delicious…egg sandwiches, homemade donuts, muffins and breads. Just a short walk away is Kerr + Jones Fine Art & Craft. I wanted everything in there! And don’t miss Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens where you can see giant trolls by artist Thomas Dambo. Thanks for sharing your little piece of paradise 😊

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This home is situated close to dozens of preserves with hiking trails of all sorts (ocean front, pine forest, steep and challenging). It sits on a tidal river that our dog just loved. The forest near the home also has some fun, short hiking available in it. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely go back to this charming little area!
