Gem in a box!

Every comfort and amenity was provided. The host even provided a gallon of milk in the refrig for our family! The house was spotless, incredibly spacious, and beautifully decorated. All 10 of us sleep so well and loved the house. It was a magical weekend for my son's wedding.

Booking this house was easy and the response was great. Checking in was very easy as all information needed was sent the day before I was to arrive. The house was exactly like the pictures. This is the first house I stayed at that was well stocked in the kitchen and bathrooms with things I usually have to go to the store and buy. The house was very spacious. My family and I really enjoyed being there. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a place to stay and the price was well worth it.

This Gem was perfect for a large group. so clean and comfortable with so much attention to the little details with a guest in mind.

This is our group’s second stay at the Gem in a Box! and we were just as thrilled to be there as the first visit! We play an annual sports tournament that serves as a small friend reunion and it could not be better suited for our needs. The basics like having more than enough towels, beds, and shower space already exceeds expectations. But Gustavo goes above and beyond with hospitality to make our weekend together extra special. I can’t wait to be back next year!

This house is well located, extremely clean, and a joy to visit. It has just what you need, with some nice additional touches. Host is very easy to work with.

I stayed in the gem with my husband and two adult children. It was perfectly set-up for our needs and the hosts were incredibly welcoming and thoughtful. There were delicious snacks, great coffee and a well appointed kitchen.

My parents (79 & 84) and I stayed at Gem in a Box for a long weekend to attend a wedding. Let me start by saying traveling isn't easy for my parents, still they were extremely comfortable and couldn't say enough about it. It's great for a family with kids too. This spacious and comfortable property couldn't have been nicer! Extra-comfortable beds, room darkening curtains, nice-sized bedrooms and huge common spaces, outlets with USB ports... the sofa has motorized reclining chairs also with USB outlets (big hit with the parents - and me too!). Attention to every detail. And I mean every detail! The property is well located in terms of navigating the historic Fredericksburg VA area and access to stores, etc., but not really walkable. We arrived to a few lovely surprises - I'll leave those for you to discover the way we did. I will say that they were very welcoming and helped us settle in. Gustavo was wonderful with communication and assisting me with my reservation. If you're thinking about staying at Gem in a Box don't hesitate to book the property - you'll be so glad you did!

We had a large group traveling from all over the country and this house met all of our needs! The house was spotlessly clean and somehow stocked with all the things we forgot at home. The owner knew we had children traveling with us and left thoughtful touches like fresh fruit, fresh milk, and popsicles in the freezer for the kids. If you are traveling with a large group, this is the place to stay!

I can not begin to explain how absolutely amazing this home and owners are. I had previously booked another location a few months prior from a different VRBO. Without notice they cancelled my reservation. In a scramble I booked this home and reached out to the owner because I was paranoid of another cancellation. He responded immediately and assured me that he would not cancel. We were in town for a family wedding. There were 8 adults in our group and everyone was impressed. The house was clean and immaculate And stocked with everything you could need! There were fresh flowers in every room. There was a huge basket of fruit waiting for us. They had cereal and milk stocked along with other food items that you might need, Endless snacks. We didn’t even really have to grocery shop that much since we were out and about mostly. I’ve stayed at many vrbos in the past and this was by far THE BEST!!! My family was so impressed and felt so comfortable in this space. 10/10 book now!!

We really enjoyed our stay here! It was more than we expected. Very clean, very neat and location was perfect for what we were there for.

We spent a long weekend here with a group of friends and enjoyed our stay. The kitchen and bathrooms were really thoughtfully well stocked, with all the cooking tools we were looking for, spices, snacks, coffee and more. Check-in and checkout were incredibly easy, and the host responded quickly to any questions that came up.
