Gathering Place overlooking beach, pier, and downtown Cayucos

Great place! Awesome location. Lots of space and house is stocked with everything we needed. Wonderful trip!!

We had the best time! The house was the perfect spot for 3 families travelling up to the central coast to visit my Cal Poly SLO student. The house is fully stocked with plenty of room for everyone and then some.

Doug the owner was very helpful answering questions we had during our stay. The kitchen was very well equipped. They have a barbecue which was clean and worked. The manager and her husband were very helpful in coming over and helping us figure out how to use the TV. We had fun playing pool. It was walking distance to the city of Cayucos and the pier and beach.

Great communication and very accommodating. Would book again!!

This house has an incredibly well equipped kitchen and comfy places to relax when we were not at the beach! They generously allowed us to stay later in the day as our flight was in the evening. The downstairs bedrooms were all quote comfortable, cozy, and bright. Thank you!

LOVED THE HOUSE AND THE LOCATION. HOUSE NEEDS DEEP CLEANING, LOSTS OF FOOD AND TRASH UNDER THE DINING ROOM COUCH A AS WELL AS OOTHER PLACES. WE HAD A SEVERE ANT INFESTATION. THEY WERE THERE WHEN WE ARRIVED AND GOT INTO A LOT OF THE FOOD. COULD NOT KEEP FOD IN THE CUPBOARDS ON THE COUNTER OR EVEN ON THE TABLE. A LOT OF FOOD WENT TO WASTE.

We had a wonderful family gathering. The house was well equipped the kitchen had everything we needed. loved Cayucos.

Wonderful stay. Great for pets too. Nice fenced yard. Perfect location.

The host was very responsive. We noticed that there was a umbrella cord that was broken and within two hours a new umbrella showed up.

The house is beautiful and very centrally located. Couldn't have picked a better spot. Home is very well equipped and plenty of comfortable beds and linens.My only complaint is that if you left one spec of food anywhere and I mean anywhere. Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom there was about 5 million ants. We tried and tried to keep up on dishes, etc. but with pets and an occasional piece of dog food left about we spent a lot of the weekend battling them and to come home to a four lane freeway of ants each time was a bit disconcerting. Not sure if they do already or not, but may want to leave something like Terro around and also get a company to do monthly proactive sprayings.That being said I would stay here again!

Douglas was a very informative and accommodating host. He was prompt with his replies to me questions and flexible with my request. The property is wonderful with an amazing view, and the location puts you within walking distance of everything you may want to do in Cayucos. Quick and easy access to the highway makes out of town activities very accessible. The Gathering Place itself has a well appointed kitchen and all the amenities amenities a group or family might require. Internet service was very solid. I recommend this property, and I will book The Gathering Place again myself.

Everything was great. Host was great and the amenities were perfect.

The house exceeded expectations. It was well stocked with everything you need to cook. Beds were comfortable. We had 4 generations staying a couple of the days during our stay. The grandkids had so much fun at the beach, which was literally across the street. Little bunnies on the front lawn were so cute to watch. Playing pool on the pool table was a plus and the books and games were awesome. The host was great, very friendly and helpful.

We absolutely loved our stay! The location was amazing and the house had more than we could’ve asked for. It had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The host was great at communication and very easy to work with.

Another great family vacation! Plenty of space for everyone, walking distance to everything, extra linens, never disappoints!

The house was perfect for our family. The rooms were all clean, the beds comfy, the kitchen was perfect for preparing our family meal. And, a great view with an easy walk to the cayucos pier and beach

The location of this VRBO is perfect! Walking distance to the beach, pier, food and best of all across from Cayucos Landing Veteran’s Hall. The main living space is spacious and has a beautiful view of the ocean! The kitchen/dining area was clean and roomy. Beds were comfortable and we really enjoyed the pool table. This is a great place for family and friends! Any questions we had were addressed quickly by Doug. Highly recommend! Thank you very much!

Everything about the house was great! Good kitchen, fully stocked, plenty of space, super close and easy walk to the beach (2 minutes) and shops. Would for sure recommend. The beds are also super comfortable, which is a hard find at rentals.

We enjoy cooking at our reunions and found the kitchen very well-equipped.

We loved the location of this house! It couldn’t have been easier to walk to the beach. We were very comfortable and happy here making big family dinners overlooking the ocean!

Please let renters know the third bathroom is off the garage.

The property itself is very lovely in its location, cleanliness, and provisions.What was unfortunate is the lack of description on each of the bedrooms. When I messaged Doug specifically about what the room locations were and type I feel as though I was misled. The family each needed their own bathroom and so that was the most important thing. Doug stated that the upstairs bedroom had an en suite bathroom. This is absolutely correct and accurate. What he did not say is that the upstairs bedroom is definitely not the primary bedroom, which you would assume automatically, but a walled in oversize closet. Approximately 6 1/2 feet wide by 9 feet long. you could barely get into the bed on one side and the bed was nailed to the wall so I couldn’t even move it to make it equal on each side for both people. Not only that.. there is not one single window in the bedroom. Not one. Talk about claustrophobia! There is a There is an antique dresser in the bedroom, which was wonderful since there was no room for suitcases. We promptly unpacked and left our suitcases in the living room.The doors, were closet doors that open out onto the area where the pictures show a pool table. The bathroom itself was fine. There was a very small stall shower, toilet and sink.The other bedrooms were all extremely lovely with lots of airy windows and pretty curtains.The view from the property is spectacular. So I would definitely recommend this if you did not need to use the upstairs bedroom as a bedroom.

The home was wonderful in the convenience and comfort. From the bedrooms and the kitchen the living room even the garage, all upgraded furniture, new modernized kitchen with every type of device needed for any type of cooking, beach, chairs, and towels, comfortable beds with super soft sheets, new couches that we just sink into and of course, the location and view of the ocean or just the highlight. I can’t say enough this was just a wonderful place to have a family gathering.

Easy beach, pier, and town access. Lots of room for our group of 6 adults. The dog loved it, too! Kitchen supplies were great, and we felt very safe and comfortable staying at Gathering Place and love the casual vibe of Cayucos!

The Gathering Place was perfect in every way. Great location just across the street from the ocean, beautiful views, comfortable and lovely home with everything you could need including fresh cut flowers from the garden. Great communication with Doug the owner. Hope to go back soon.

Excellent & plentiful kitchen supplies, pots, pans & dishware. Lots of clean towels . 2 washers & dryers - so convenient with a big family! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We had a wonderful stay at the Gathering Place. It is beautiful, comfortable, convenient to the beach and esthetic. It easily accommodated our family of 7 adults. Every morning we had our coffee on the huge, comfy couch in front of the picture-window, watching the waves roll in - or out on the upstairs porch enjoying the fresh air. Walking into town and to the beach was pure pleasure, and the wonderful, swooping swallows all nesting under the nearby bridge were mesmerizing. Everything you need for preparing meals has been thoughtfully provided. Thank you for letting our family stay in this lovely spot- if it's available, I would definitely rent this for our family on our next visit to Caycos.

We greatly enjoyed our time at this Cayucos house. The house was charming and so well stocked with all amenities for us. We were half adults and half teenagers so the location between beach, town, and wineries was perfect. Also an easy drive to CalPoly. Extra cuteness was the bunny keeping an eye on us.

The property was everything it stated and more. We had a wonderful trip. I highly recommend this property.

This was by far the best VRBO house my family has experienced. The views were fantastic, everything we could possibly need was provided ( spices in the kitchen, kleenex, extra blankets, coffee makers WITH coffee and tea!). All in all, a very enjoyable stay!

This house os the perfect spot for a large group of friends or family. The owners are onsite,so all issues are always handles immediately. This is the second time we have stayed here and we want to make it a yearly tradition.The kitchen is fully stocked, so it is easy to cook for the large group.Beautiful views of the ocean!the ocean.

Our family enjoyed Christmas at this wonderful home. The location is perfect and close to everything Cayucos has to offer.

Old friends, likened to family, gathered to spend an awesome 3 days together! This magnificent retreat allowed us to make further lifetime memories! We are all so blessed and God willing, can do it again next year - woohoo!

We had a great time on our family vacation. The house slept everyone comfortably and the extra blankets and pillows were a nice addition! Check in was easy and house is in the perfect location. It would be helpful to have the kitchen stocked with ziploc bags of different sizes and foil and Saran Wrap, since the house is so equipped for cooking in and hosting large meals. Other than that, it was perfect! Thanks!

We enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of room for my family (5 adults and 5 kids ages 11 to 3). The kids had fun playing in the fenced front yard, with the pool table upstairs on the main floor and at the Beach just across the street. The Kitchen was well stocked and the Dining Table had seating for all of us. The view of the ocean from the 2nd (main) floor was spectacular. The Property Manager was easy to contact and helpful.

This home was perfect for our family vacation. Everything you need is here. Amenities were great, very clean, and more than enough room for our large family to spread out.
