Galveston White House (Beachfront!!!)

It accommodated 7 adults, 1 child, 2 babies, and a couple dogs just fine. Steps way from the beach.

The host Eric was very attentive and helpful! Such a lovely property and well equipped with space. Our family had such a great time, and we will be back!

This is the best location you can get if you want some privacy but want to stay close to everything you need! (Walmart, Krogers, restaurants). The place was perfect for us and the beach was fantastic. Thanks!

Great weekend

Location right on the beach is great but the house is really not suitable for large parties as the downstairs quarters are completely separate from the upstairs. Also house is in big need of a major makeover as it looks tired and old. There is a grassy area in front of the house where we noticed hairy rodents of some description so probably needs a pest control review.

The location is what makes this place especially with kids for snacks or bathroom breaks.

Lovely property steps from the surf. Can watch the waves and surf from the deck. Convenient for family with separate upstairs and downstairs areas. Our third time to rent here. Eric is very responsive to any issues.

The view and access to the beach was perfect. The house was very clean.The house needs a little upkeep. We were surprised to find that access to the rooms downstairs (second restrooms, two bedrooms and washer and dryer) were only accessible by going outside and down the outside steps.Also, there are no closets for hanging clothes to t

The location of this property is perfect but it’s looking a bit tired tbh and could do with some decorating the lights in the kitchen area flicker and the taps in the kitchen and upstairs bathroom need looking at and these things appear to be a bit dangerous

Was literally feet from the beach. Enjoyed the house and time there. Having to go outside to go from first to second floor was inconvenient at times, but was well communicated in description

Loved being in the beach!

We had an amazing time! It was very accommodating for our family as everyone had their own space. The pictures/details were slightly misleading as neither couch made a bed and the only stairs connecting levels were outside. The view was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked. Would definitely rent again.

This was a great property to stay at.We hope to return soon.

Property couldnt be any closer to the beach. In fact we dodged a hurricane! House was nice and met the needs for 6 people. The upstairs is not connected to the downstairs you have to go outside. Not that big of an issue for the view that is included. Owner was very nice and easy to deal with. Bring bug soray as the mosquitos wrre fierce in Sept. view that is included.

The White House really needs updating, the lower floor had an bad odor of Mildew which was probably caused from the hurricane. There were NO Closets and only one bedroom (upstairs) had drawers to put our things in. Also you can not enter upstairs area without going outside up the stairs. The kitchen lights would blink and dim when we turned the water on. The outside had trash and debris in the yard. The house was not that clean either. The Location was Great and it was like having your own beach. There was six of us ladies and although we were disappointed in the house, We made the Best of it and Enjoyed our time in Galveston.

Beautiful house... Great location. We couldn't have picked a better place for our stay.

First, the owner was great at communicating and check in easy. We didn’t lack for any utensils nor basic kitchen/bathroom needs. We couldn’t get pass the dirtiness of the house. The dirtiness was due to the upkeep of the property not lack of housekeeping. There were gaps in floor/wall seams with bugs entering (ants, cockroaches, pincher bugs), floor boards warped, downstairs room smelled like mold in spite of me using aroma scents, the tile in the downstairs shower had dirty grout that I wouldn’t step in without sandals or water shoes, and the balcony floor boards were coming apart and stairs are worn to the point I skipped one or two as they looked like they would fall through. I understand that this is a beach property and Beryl had just come through but these specific items have been there for awhile except maybe the downstairs moldy smell. Also when we pulled up there was rust at all of the bolt points of the frame etc. I really wanted to like this place as we had been looking forward to this trip and the owner was quick to send someone out to fix a hole in the wall and offered to bring in a third dehumidifier but it was just not a place I wanted to walk around in bare feet nor reach my hand under a sofa to retrieve something. On top of this the price didn’t match the quality. I know others have 10/10 and then stated that it needs work. I just can’t do this. We did purchase a hose as the one there was missing an attachment and mat for the entry way.

Place is in a perfect place but oh my needs a lot of up keep, floor tile, walls, bathroom bath tub and soon the owner will need to fix place. The bottom floor smells like pesticide!! It smells for the whole time we were there.

The house was a great size for our family of 12. The kitchen is on the upstairs level and the stairs are outside. So it was like 2 houses in one, which worked out for the people who wanted to stay up late and the ones who wanted to go to bed early. The location is the best part being right on the beach. We will stay here again when we come back to Galveston.

Great place to stay. Just a few steps from the beach. Ground floor bedrooms make it available to disabled customers.
