Fun beachfront home w/shared pool, WiFi, private washer & dryer, central AC

Comfortable rooms, plenty of bathrooms, nice big kitchen, living room with awesome views of the beach. The walkway to the beach is right there!

We enjoyed our time at Windy Dunes. However, there were a few issues: 1.There is a public beach path right next to this house, not mentioned on website. People were walking by all the time and it made it more difficult to find an empty spot on the beach and felt less safe because of this. 2. Mattresses need replaced in a couple of the bedrooms, they have hills and valleys. 3.Refridgerator condenser getting ready to fail and makes very loud vibration noise. Upon arrival called, no one called me back for two days. Then someone left a message, I called her back an hour later and then nothing for two more days.Finally called and spoke to manager who basically said it won't likely be repaired because of there are limited repairmen on island. We gave up after that. No money refunded, not sure I would use Vacasa again?

We loved Windy Dunes location right on the beach. The house was roomy and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay here!

We had a wonderful week at Windy Dunes! Our crew consisted of our family of 4 (kids are 8 and 6) and a few grandparents. The house was spacious enough for all of us to spread out or relax separately or to be together in the common areas. The kitchen was well-equipped and we cooked most of our meals at the house. Location couldn’t have been more convenient with grocery and restaurant options within walking distance! Our entire crew loved the house and we’ll likely have to stay at a beachfront house moving forward. This one set a high bar!

The location is ideal, as the beach is accessible just a minute away. The rental was clean but could use some TLC. (Water spots, splatters on the wall, dirty baseboards- a good deep clean.) The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding was clean. All of the showers had hot water, except the bedroom with the connecting bathroom on the lower level. It was a consistent luke warm temp with very little water pressure. The kitchen had all that we needed, excluding a good nonstick pan, which we had to purchase. Many shops and restaurants within walking distance. A beautiful view from each room, clean, comfy furniture, and thoughtful amenities (hand soap, dove travel toiletries, dish liquid, paper towels, sponges, dishwasher and laundry pods) The washer and dryer are clean, convenient, and new. Vacasa checked in on us and were extremely courteous. They made the process easy and flawless. Vacasa has been by far the best rental company we’ve used (and we have used many in the OBX) Our family had a lovely experience . We have never wanted to book the same rental twice but we would absolutely stay here again! Thank you for a comfortable stay and awonderful vacation!

Great home that is well furnished, great beds and a updated kitchen make this a rentalmthat is sure to be a regular for future trips. Thanks to the home owner and Vacasa for a great vacation!

Great house. Nice deck to watch the ocean. Roomy living space. Great location next to path to beach and close to grocery store. Awesome outdoor shower. Enjoyed the stay.

The lower level of the house was in the process of being remodeled but it was not done. We dealt with no hot water in lower level showers (but everywhere else), no curtains or blinds or even screens on lower level windows, a light hanging from the ceiling, a living room television that was password protected, batteries missing in many remotes and little to no response from Vacasa.
