Stayed Apr 23, 2021The truth is that I want to “keep” this place as our little secret. But, we owe the owners much more than that as a thank you for sharing their little piece of heaven with us. The setting is spectacular. Down a little dirt road just outside of town, this dreamy cottage is sprinkled with great folk art pieces and rustic, yummy decorations. The large rooms let you breathe in the relaxed atmosphere. The beds, especially the one in the second bedroom are sooo comfy. Of course, waking up to singing birds and sipping coffee while still in your pj’s on the huge deck might be the best way to start any day. This little weekend was the salve we needed after a long year of yuck. Highly recommend!

Stayed Oct 17, 2025We enjoyed our stay! Great proximity to downtown Wimberley for shopping and dining. Loved seeing multiple deer in the yard daily. Very private feeling down a small one lane road. The house was charming and nice decor. Had an oops where one of our guests left their phone on their charger inside and it was just after 10am and the door code stops working promptly at that time on checkout day. We called the main line in listing and got help very quickly with a temporary door code to be let back in. Cons: The house needs some love and cleaning on the inside, 3 spiders with webs living in one of the bathrooms (it is October but I don’t think they were decor). One bathroom has issues with water leaking and damaging the baseboard. In the kitchen the ceiling along the fireplace looks as if there’s mold or a water leak developing. Caulk is peeling off the wood beams in living room. Kitchen drawers were dirty and disorganized. Road noise from bridge can be loud when outside during peak times like enjoying a morning coffee on the deck. The ice maker/water on the fridge doesn’t work and there’s a magnet on it stating so. Would’ve been helpful to know ahead of time, but we bought a bag of ice at the Brookshire Brothers once we got there. Obviously out of their control but know that with drought conditions and fire risk no fire pit use outside although with the above averages of 90F this October we wouldn’t have used it anyway.

Stayed Aug 29, 2025Very disappointed in the property. It was not well maintained at all. There were spider webs everywhere and we found a brown recluse in the sink. There were weeds coming up through the patio, the vents had rust on them, and some of the vents were caving in on the floor. The showers had mold in them, the icemaker didn’t work, the TV in the master bedroom didn’t work as well. I would not stay here again and would not recommend staying here with kids for sure. We left a day early because we did not want our 8 mo old to get bit by a poisonous spider.

Stayed Jun 13, 2025Lovely long weekend on the river, just outside of town making trips in for market runs etc. a breeze. Felt very secluded on the property grounds with expansive lawn down to the river. Location on the river provided a place for shallow wading as well as deeper swimming holes. Bridge into town is adjacent to property so there is a steady stream of traffic in the background while floating/ fishing. The home itself is lovely and perfect size for 6 guests if you have kids that don't all mind sharing room.

Stayed Dec 6, 2024We loved the house, it was a very cozy place. However, we could have used more toilet paper, extra blankets and a handrail to get down the stairs for my mom and aunt. It was a beautiful place.

Stayed Sep 19, 2024A perfect place to stay! Comfortable inside & out. Close to town and very quiet. Right on the river. Even though it’s the middle of a drought and the river is down to just pools, it’s so relaxing to see the animals that come to drink.

Stayed Aug 30, 2024We had a great stay at this property. Much more spacious than the pictures made it look. Beautiful property, lots of room outside. Kids had a great time swimming in the river and feeding the deer. Loved how it felt isolated but very close to town.

Stayed Jul 16, 2024Property was a cute little cabin in Wimberly next to the Blanco River. Perfect size for what we needed; nice and clean. The neighbor is super close and probably the only (very minor) concern when you bring a kiddo with you.

Stayed Jul 5, 2024The property was great, very relaxing and plenty of space. Access to the lake was challenging ... due to the drought the water was very low. I don't know what the usual depth of the river is, but it was slow and it didn't flow. So that was disappointing, but it's not the fault of the property owners. I would suggest they add better photos of the river access to give an accurate depection of the river as it normally looks so guests can be prepared for the typical river access. We were not able to easily get in the water without slipping and cutting our feet. I'd just recommend prior to booking to discuss with owner the status of the river near the time of the booking. Otherwise great property! Beautiful grounds as well.

Stayed May 26, 2024Quiet and relaxing for a couples getaway, but spacious enough for a family or small friend group. Close to a thriving downtown area as well driving distance to several other towns.
