Stayed Jun 15, 2026The house was very quaint cute home. Although it is walking distance to Main St. the distance to the main part of Main St is a bit far. The outdoor shower is the only shower other than a small hand held shower on the tub. The main issue we had with our stay was the AC not cooling the front part of the house, since it is an older home at first we gave it the benefit of doubt that it was eventually going to cool down. When the temperature in the front part of the house reached 90 degrees we realized it wasn’t getting any cooler and called the management company. They replied promptly and sent a maintenance man to change filter and check the unit. Unfortunately the unit had frozen up and the only solution was to leave the unit off for several hours to defrost. Since the heat index that day was 115 degrees we opted to get a hotel room for the last night of our stay in Fredericksburg.

Stayed Jun 10, 2026This was not my first visit to this property and will not be my last. It is an authentically Texas experience. It is a comfortable, clean, and lovely property. The check in/ checkout process could not be any easier. It is conveniently located about 1/2 block off of Main Street. Love it!

Stayed May 11, 2026Thank you so much for the wonderful opportunity to stay at your precious home. To stay comfortably in a piece of true Texas history is amazing - we spent most of our time in the front cabin picturing the first family who spent their time there. Then, with spotting the first stars of the evening out in the hot tub, our stay was magical. Thank you again!

Stayed Apr 11, 2026The house itself is quaint and the location was super conveniet to everything downtown. The hot tub was nice. We did feel that the pictures displayed on the VRBO app were not exactly accurate. There is house next door that would be clearly visible if the main picture was not altered to show trees that are clearly not there. Another feature was the lack of an indoor shower. There is only the clawfoot tub and an outdoor shower. The beds were super firm, which may suit some people. The outside does need some TLC. Overall, our stay was pleasant.

Stayed Mar 15, 2026The house was very well maintained and did a great job preserving its historical charm. The only improvement I would suggest is adding an indoor shower. The claw foot tub did include a hand held spray which was sufficient, but a full shower would have been a nice addition. The kitchen was well stocked and when we needed additional paper goods, housekeeping responded promptly and efficiently.Overall, it was a superb experience, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Stayed Mar 12, 2026My husband and I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary by staying for three nights at Friday Haus. It was everything I hoped it would be. A cozy little gem nestled in the heart of Fredericksburg. Not even a block off of Main Street, it is the perfect location. Highly recommend for couples, small groups, and families. You have all the necessities and a backdrop for amazing pictures in this sweet charmer right in the mix of all that is wonderful about Fredericksburg.

Stayed Jul 24, 2025My husband and I stayed here for our 25th wedding anniversary and it was perfect! We loved everything about the cabin and its amenities- the location - the little extras - historic but with top of the line appliances in bath and kitchen Favorite things - getting our new bedroom furniture from Carol Bolton (Gray helped us out tremendously) - Magnolia Pearl is a beautiful place to visit- The Wildflower Place for seeds - we ate at Hondo’s twice - The old bakery downtown and the Steakhouse at the edge of town - then of course spent one afternoon in Luckenbach - hanging with Walt and the rest of the “liars club” soaking up all their stores and listening to some great music :)

Stayed Dec 28, 2025We enjoyed our stay at the Friday Haus! I just have a few comments about how things could be better. One of the major ones is the driveway. It's strangely incredibly steep and very difficult to see at night. It makes getting in and out of the space quite difficult and created difficulties for us that seemed unnecessary. I would decrease the intensity of the incline, or move stones. One of the bedrooms had windows that at least 4 of the panes were very broken. It was a double paned window, but still a bit concerning. The front door key doesn't open the side door, which is a much better entry than the front, so that was unfortunate. The hot tub is nice, but wouldn't get above 100 degrees for some reason. There is no shower, so you have to sit in the bathtub, so we opted to not bathe there. Also the stove/oven isn't listed in the VRBO description and there is one, so that was a bummer. We brought food that had to be microwaved because of that. Otherwise, a very nice stay!

Stayed Oct 15, 2025The property is amazing. You can see the original construction. Each room is beautiful, and the decor has been chosen thoughtfully to be comfortable while keeping with the aesthetic of the 19th century home. The location is perfect for exploring Main Street, but it’s also far enough from any noise that it was a peaceful setting. 100% recommend this property if you want a comfortable and authentic Fredericksburg experience!

Stayed Jul 13, 2025Thoughtful decor, comfortable beds, and great communication from host! Would highly recommend staying at Friday Haus. A few suggestions: a video with directions to open the lockbox. The chipped tub needs some attention and a shower would be a nice touch. Most concerning are the damaged windows with gaps and plexiglass that lets air in and out. You have a wonderful place with proximity to Main Street, but as a former VRBO owner, I know ideas for improvement are always welcome!

Stayed May 24, 2025This cabin is perfect for a stay in Fredericksburg. I love the original details, but it also has been updated with everything needed to make for a very comfortable stay as well. It is so easy to walk from the cabin to all of the shops and restaurants of the main street, but it's also on a very peaceful street. Lots of parking room. Very responsive management company and super easy check-in/out. Highly recommend! (May not be best for those with physical impairments/mobility issues, as the bathroom only has a deep soaking tub which could make getting in and out/up and down difficult, and the regular shower is outdoors down steps. That said, we loved it all and had no issues.

Stayed Mar 25, 2025Friday Haus had all we needed, it was great! It was spotless, the kitchen stocked (w/coffee and creamer), lots of assorted towels in bathroom, beds really comfy, blankets for watching tv during rain storm, etc. You can tell someone thoughfully put it together, greatly appreciated. (The tub only is the only 'eh' (there is a handhold shower head), but not a deal breaker with how cute the home is, with great location!

Stayed Oct 15, 2024My friend and I loved the history this home held, along with the modern flare. The location is great for downtown shopping and restaurants. We noticed some minor cleaning issues, like behind the furniture in the living room (we weren't looking for issues, but noticed). Also, be aware the roof is tin, and the falling acorns can make weird noises at night. That being said, we would be happy to stay here again.
