The house was amazing and the view off the back deck was even more amazing! Close to stores and restaurants! Stocked kitchen, there was nothing we needed that wasn’t at the house! 10/10 recommend!

The property was perfect for our two dogs and my husband and I. Large fenced yard that the dogs could get to on their own from the porch while we were hanging out. Comfortable couch facing the nice-height tv. Gorgeous views off of the back. Soft king bed in primary on the main floor. Easy access to the Parkway, downtown, and also Sylva. Clean and gas everything we wanted and needed.

This was a perfect place esp if you have a few dogs. Ours pups enjoyed the fenced in back yard. The host had a personal welcome note and even had dogs treats waiting for them. The house was clean and very comfortable (including the beds). We took advantage of the view sitting on the back deck too!

We stayed even longer this year and we loved every minute of it! Peg and her husband are wonderful and they stopped by to drop off a bottle of wine and some amazing treats for our two rescue dogs. We ended up chatting for a bit and it was lovely. The house was immaculate and so inviting. We also met the neighbors behind the house and their two dogs and chatted with them for about an hour. Simply wonderful people in the neighborhood! This location is perfect and we really appreciated all of the suggestions in Waynesville to visit. We will definitely come back!

The property is exactly as described, the stairs can feel a little steep in the dark but there are solar lamps lining the railing that assist with visibility. The view is amazing. There is a feeling of total privacy even though town is about 10 minutes away and there are neighbors nearby. Our dogs thoroughly enjoyed the yard. It was perfect weather and we were able to fully relax. We cannot wait to come back!

My husband & I as well as my brother & sister-in-law stayed at The Osceola house for an extended weekend. The location was perfect for us because we were conveniently close to town and had a beautiful view of the mountains outside the living room picture window . Everything was clean & the smallest of details were thought of making for an effortless experience. Peg, the Host, was extremely accommodating & even left a gift of treats from our favorite dog bakery for our shihtzu We all had a simply wonderful time at Osceola House.

Our stay was great except for the rain but we did inside things . Went to falls in Cherokee and casino. The house has everything you need loved the fenced in yard for our dogs. We never ate out while there because our daughter and son in law was with us from Pa to enjoy family time together so he did all the cooking on the gas grill. He had everything he needed he said the spices was great he didn’t have to get any. The last night we enjoyed with the dogs had a fire outside.a great place to stay. My husband and I will be back with our two dogs Diamond and Lilly even though we don’t need a place that big for our selves just because of the fenced in yard and plenty of extra bonus like blankets for dogs, foil, paper towels, spices, condiments in fridge and so on.

Enjoyed every part of our stay. Our group chose this property due to a wedding at a nearby country club. The location was perfect and the house was exactly what we needed. Our four legged pup love the fenced in backyard where he could enjoy the mountain at his leisure. The property owner was quick and knowledgeable about the property or questions we had. If we get the chance to stay again, we definitely will. Overall, a great experience and location.

I always look for places that accommodate dogs as I often travel with my 50 pound labradoodle. We had the best time here. Driving up to the house was so much fun. And the views from the living room, deck, & patio were gorgeous. From watching the sun come up, to seeing the total lunar eclipse one night-it was spectacular. When we arrived, I picked up 2 bags of dog waste from the backyard as I didn't want my dog to get into it (human preference-my dog probably could not care less). The neighbor dog (Max) had a big bark, but he didn't bother us late in the night or early in the morning & his humans were nice. We enjoyed the fire pit & making smores. The downstairs area was perfect for my adult son-it was like a private apartment & he loved it. We could even hear the water running on the other side of the road & what a sweet & peaceful sound it was. Waynesville, Lake Junaluska, & the Blue Ridge Parkway were close. The little park just down the mountain was a great place for an after dinner walk. We cooked breakfast every day except one & enjoyed our takeout at the table-with those beautiful mountain views through the front window. Don't hesitate to stay here; great place with great owners who responded almost immediately when I had questions. I want to go back in the fall-because those views can only improve with the colorful leaves. You'll find in the house: books to read, games to play, streaming capable TVs, adequate space to cook, adequate space to spread out if needed.

Very nice place beautiful scenery it was very cold when we checked in 15degrees heat inside of home was set to 61 degrees wall heat the fans on all 3 units were not blowing heat out very well even on high setting we set the thermostat at 75 and not sure if it ever got to that temp . It took a good day and a half to get the house a comfortable temp. Other than that it was a small nice house we would not stay there again in the winter.

We had an incredibly comfortable stay at this Waynesville retreat for our second visit! During our stay, we were fortunate enough to receive 2 inches of snow, and Peg and Bruce went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. They kindly provided a snow scraper, salt, and a shovel, and even stopped by to check if the heaters were working properly, making sure we were warm and cozy.Their neighbors were also incredibly thoughtful, with one even plowing the driveway for us—what a nice surprise! The retreat itself was spotless, and we loved cooking in because of the weather. Peg and Bruce equipped the kitchen with top-quality utensils and silverware, so we had everything we needed to prepare meals. It was truly a home away from home. We’re already looking forward to returning every 1-2 years and can’t thank them enough for their hospitality.Thank you for hosting us!
