Please note - this is an older-style family bach, so if you're happy to have casual, retro surroundings then this will be a great property for you! It has everything you require for a great trip away as a group or family.

There is also a tenant in the downstairs section of this property - so there will on occasion be a vehicle there when you arrive - don't panic! Just remember to respect each other please.

NOTE: Under Kiwi Bach tradition you are expected to: Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels) or use our hire service. If you wish to add the linen hire of $17.25 per person, please select this option when booking or let us know in the comments section.

We have a strict no large group or parties policy, disruption to the neighbours will not be tolerated. If we are notified of parties or illegal activity you will be evicted.

You will be required to complete a check in form prior to arrival (excluding identity verified, Airbnb accounts) which will include a copy of your ID and the details of all guests intending to stay at the property. Failure to complete this form will result in the booking being cancelled.

The guest named on the booking is responsible for the property for the duration of the stay and must take all reasonable care of the house. For breakages or damages be aware that you will be charged for the repair or replacement plus a 10% handling fee. It's your responsibility to familiarise yourself with potential hazards or situations during the stay and take appropriate care or actions if needed.

All properties must be left reasonably clean and tidy, ensuring all furniture and appliances are returned to where they were. A general service clean is included, but if the property requires extra cleaning, you could be charged an additional $50.00 per hour, this includes BBQ’s, excess rubbish, soiled linen and odour removal.

All bookings are accepted on the basis that you have read, understand, and agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions and House Rules.

    A really well located home, true to it's Retro title. Well appointed with everything we needed. Warm and cosy, comfortable beds, plenty of hot water and views across to the lake in the distance. Really felt like we could relax and enjoy.

    We are family of 9.we are very happy with our stay because there is fireplace(wood are provided) in the lounge that we had time to stay and watch movies.we will come back soon.

    Great clean tidy place with plenty of beds and sky tv so you can watch the rugby!House was nice and clean except the master bedroom bed was dirty It looked like it hadnt been made properly and had hair,crumbs and stains on the duvet Other than that the rest of the place was clean and tidy

    The home has some safety hazards for young children, particularly numerous multi-box electrical outlets throughout the house and steep concrete steps at both access doors.Carpets, lounge furniture and bedding not as clean as we would expect when we arrived. We vacuumed and believe the lounge area was cleaner when we left than when we arrived.

    We had such a lovely stay in Taupo and alot due to our accommodation being amazing. We were so warm through the cold Taupo nights also. Large spaces in the home meant we could all find areas to break away to for a chat. Will definately return again!!

    The house was absolutely perfect for our large family ,we were in Tupo compiting in ICN Body building for the first time so everything was a tad stressful except the whole process of finding,booking and communicating about this house .we loved our stay to the point we were a little sad to be heading home ,we will be definitely booking this house when ever we or our family stays in taupo .thank you so much The Smart family
