I have lived in this house now for 20 years and have completely renovated home to specs that I believe that Mr. Wright would have found in line with his way of design. Woodside sits on a wooded two-acre lot in a very old neighborhood.
You are within one mile of restaurants and grocery stores on the north side of town. A great neighborhood to walk and ride a bike along the river just down the hill from Woodside. I have reconstructed the kitchen for a chef to have fun with their cooking

Stayed Nov 5, 2025We enjoyed the historic setting and understand the challenges of maintaining such a site. The house is unique and of interest. Everyone enjoyed the setting. Cons: One of the showers had a very low flow rate. We were also infested with wasps inside. We killed many! The kitchen was well-appointed. The dining area was comfortable. Offer better descriptions of the rooms. Two bedrooms shared the same shower, separated by adjoining shower doors. Great neighborhood with park near by. Conveniently located. Price was expensive but for a one time experience we were willing to pay a premium.

Stayed Sep 20, 2025We had a great time! The place was very cool and in a beautiful and peaceful setting. Had a lot of fun looking at the FLW books and blueprints! Very fun family experience! Everything needed is provided and owner is easy to contact. Would love to come back sometime.

Stayed Jul 18, 2025We love FLW so the opportunity to actually spend the night in one of his homes was a life-long dream. This home did not disappoint. We read the original owner's narrative of his interactions with FLW and viewed the original blueprints. What a treat! The home itself was comfortable with beautiful views through the many windows. We will never forget this stay. Thanks to the homeowner for his hospitality.

The story of Dr. Davis and the house and how it became a part of Marion was inspirational. And viewing the blueprints and looking for the fine details of the house was exciting We loved every minute there

Stayed Aug 14, 2024Great experience to stay in a FLW designed home during our visit to the James Dean museums in Fairmount. All was as advertised and Matthew was a great host and very helpful during our stay. A wonderful and unique home in a private setting may the stay very relaxing too. Highly suggested if you are in the area and appreciate special architecture!
