Chattanooga, Tennessee
We have completely renovated the entire first floor in our home that was built in 1902. Conveniently located in the Historic Fort Wood district, one block to UTC campus and less than 2 miles to downtown Chattanooga. Our home is also within walking distance to the Chattanooga Riverwalk. Perfect for anyone looking to explore our gorgeous city.
You will have access to the entire first floor of our home. There is a separate entrance for the long term tenants living upstairs. We provide free parking in the back of our home, for two vehicles.
We're always on call to answer questions and make your stay as comfortable as possible. Our daughter-in-law, Erin, also helps us co-host, so you'll likely be in contact with her throughout your planning and stay.
Our home is within walking distance to many points of interest in Chattanooga. If you'd prefer to drive, downtown Chattanooga is less than 5 minutes away. We do have ring doorbells on both the front and back doors for added safety.
Cute little neighborhood close to UTC. The unit was very clean. They layout of the properly was a little strange. You have to drive / walk around the block to enter through the back door from the street behind. You enter the bathroom through the living room or the second bedroom. The washer and dryer are in the bathroom. (I loved that they had a washer and dryer though!) The dishwasher wasn't properly anchored, so be careful when you open it! A few other quirky little things, but my son and I had a nice time visiting UTC for a few days, and this is a pleasant place very close to campus.
A very special historic neighborhood perfect for enjoying Chattanooga. Clean and comfy. Quiet and safe neighborhood. Walking distance to UT Chatt. Great communication with property hosts.
We had a wonderful stay. It was a perfect location for downtown and the UTC campus where I took a class. Very clean property and well stocked with all you need!!!! Thank you so much!!!
Nice, clean, well organized, one level historic house in quiet neighborhood next to the local college campus. Good base for exploring the local area, Civil War battlefields, art museum, history museum. Ample parking, well equipped kitchen, very nice laundry facilities.
Clean. Would stay again.
This was a great spot — so close to anything you’d want to do in Chattanooga, and had a nice neighborhood feel. Minus one dish that still had dried food on it, the place was very clean. This is the first vrbo in a long time where I was able to walk around barefoot and not get gross feet, which is so nice since we don’t wear shoes in our house. I appreciated the ample shelves to put items and stay organized. The kitchen was well appointed, beds were comfy and curtains were true blackout shades, which is excellent traveling with a young child who still naps. Great little spot in the heart of everything.
This home was even cuter than the pics reflected. The location was perfect for our visit to UTC (within walking distance). Many kitchen/bathroom supplies were available. The only negative was that since it is a very old house, you could hear every step the upstairs tenants made. It was quite loud until late evening/early in the morning hours. If this does not bother you then this place is perfect. This is not a reflection on the owners, but is something I wish I had seen in a review because it did cause us 2 nights of very poor sleep. Again, this may not bother someone else! Other than that the home is beautiful and immaculate!
We enjoyed our two nights in this house. It was a good size for our family of four. The only negative things I can really say is that the location isn’t in the best part of town and the unit upstairs has been rented out to young people for the summer and they were quite loud late into the night. Parking was a small issue but the owners were easy to communicate with and prompt to my question about the issue. This property definitely enhanced our trip to Chattanooga.
Great place to stay.
The property seems to be right on the edge of campus, and the upstairs tenant seems to be a college student. I pulled right up to the covered back porch and unloaded. Property was exactly as advertised, and we enjoyed the use of the full kitchen and full size washer and dryer. The flat was a really cute early 1900's fully updated duplex. The room darkening drapes in the bedroom were awesome and the beds were super comfortable. If I had anything to quibble about, the sound from upstairs (just regular people noises) was very easy to hear, if you're a light sleeper. Overall, it was great and if we play out there again I will be checking this location for availability first.
We loved our stay in Chattanooga at this historic, renovated property. The house is set up nicely, with plenty of light and space. The beds are comfy and it's easy to come and go. We especially enjoyed the neighborhood, with lots of sidewalks and both the front and back porch offered porch swings for us to enjoy. Would stay here again!
Historic home renovated for 2 apartments. Cleanest place ever! Full size kitchen well stocked with dishes, pots and pans. Washer dryer and the bedrooms were large!
Great property. Just wish the HVAC running outside all night wasn't so loud.
We were pleased with the location. We love to go for walks, so the 30 minutes or so it took to walk to the Walnut Street bridge was great! The place was clean and the neighborhood was quiet. We would stay here again!
This was a quiet, cute house in a beautiful neighborhood. Beds were comfy and kitchen was well-stocked.
This property was perfect for our family of 4 and was a very reasonable cost. It was cozy and had everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable. Also it was a good location and close to everything we wanted to do!
Very clean, charming and close to everything.
We enjoyed our stay here! The house is charming with all of the neat “old house” elements. It’s relatively close to everything. The host was very nice and easily accessible for any questions. Would recommend!!
Great!
We stayed in Chattanooga on our way to upstate NY in this charming neighborhood. The downstairs apartment exceeded our expectations, it was a mix of old turn of the century with a bright and airy feel to it. Honestly all the tourist attractions were booked since it was 4th of July weekend so we enjoyed cooking and resting up for the long drive in the lovely surroundings. Thank you again!
Perfect location, close to just about everything downtown.
We enjoyed the flat very much and the historical neighborhood is beautiful. It wasn't until day 3 that I saw the front of it while on a jog (the rental entrance is on from the back). There was plenty of space for myelf and a friend, but it should be noted that the two bedrooms are two spaces separated by a pocket door. This was a little unexpected, but not a problem for us. The bathroom was ample. We enjoyed being able to do our laundry. The kitchen was very effective for our needs (we didn't really cook, just refridgerating and reheating restaurant leftovers). Overall, I recommend it! Very well-managed.
