Former Coach House with enclosed garden - Hendra Barns, Mitchell Near Newquay

A lovely Cornish welcome pack to greet us on arrival (cream on top of course!).Comfortable place with plenty of space indoors and outdoors to enjoy. All amenities we needed were provided to utilise during our stay.Maggie & Ken were immediately at hand for any questions and provided us with some logs for the wood burner. Ideal location for access to the north & south coasts, and Newquay or Truro, whilst situated in a quiet, rural area. Overall, great value for money.

Host not able to respond by vrbo app so we had to ring to get a response. Which was quick after speaking. The water was brown and undrinkable which affected cost of purchasing bottled water. Problem with en-suite shower, no pressure or hot water in en-suite shower, so used other bathroom shower which had good pressure and heat. Beds looked very good, but all thin mattresses with springs felt. The place looked great but a bit disappointed overall for cost. Location great and host pleasant.

Wanted a property on one level as mum has difficulty walking. This was a perfect property. Excellent position for all tourist resorts. Weather was starting to get colder in the evening & the wood burner did just the job. The property was well maintained & had all you would need. Ken was onsite & would help with anything you needed. Would definitely return & recommend to friends.

Ideal for our party of two couples and two dogs. Good location for visiting either coastline and the Eden Project. The Old Coach House was clean and comfortable.

Property was in a good location central to all areas of cornwall. It was well furnished with all amenities required. Nothing is perfect and there were a couple of niggling issues which were notified to the owner. but not withstanding that would visit again.

The Old Coach House was a lovely house with wonderful views and an enclosed garden which was perfect for our young dog and children. It was immaculately clean and the beds were really comfortable. We all had a wonderful holiday and would love to return one day. One thing, we could have done with a slightly larger BBQ for 6 of us. Otherwise fabulous.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is great and made even more enjoyable for our boys who went fishing in the lake every day. Highly recommend.

Excellent property to stay at, very central to visit Cornwall. Very clean and well laid out, garden over looked a beautiful back drop of the countryside. Would highly recommend as a place to stay with kids and dogs.
