Forest Views & Grill! Lynchburg Treehouse Retreat

great neighborhood, great location, quiet, house has tons of things you’d need on your stay. House was bright and the right size for our family.- we arrived late at night and the front porch light was not working, come to find out the switch is taped up to stay on but the bulb must be burned out- as it never came on and made it very dark to come and go.- the front bolt lock is very confusing and took us multiple times and a phone call to you to get in. It also never locked when we followed instructions to lock we always arrived home with an unlocked door.- there was a fire alarm laying on the dresser with a battery next to it, not installed.- tons of dirt and items under the couch- clearly is never cleaned- upstairs has a suitcase under the twin bed- very odd and probably should be removed- kitchen sink seemed very dirty when we arrived - check out instructions are different than the email and the ones in the binder are buried in the middle of things to do- you may want to move this up to front took me several times of reading the book to find it - bathroom upstairs shower curtain doesn’t go to the floor so water leaks out while showering - downstairs bathroom shower door isn’t full so water gets all over the floor while showering - fireplace remote doesn’t work

This is our 2nd time staying here. Nice home. Quiet neighborhood, near Liberty. Just what our family needed.

We enjoyed this neat home during our stay for a long weekend. Home was as advertised and clean. It included all the little furnishings and things that help make it feel like home away from home.

This property is in a great location in Lynchburg. I'm sure our experience was a one off, but it wasn't the best VRBO experience. The property was nice with a tree house feel as listed with a large deck and two individual decks off the upstairs bedrooms. It was adequately supplied with towels, linens, etc. However, it wasn't clean. There were coffee grounds left in the coffee pot and they molded and the coffee pot in general was nasty. There was leftover hair in the shower and the floors seemed a little dirty. The kitchen sink had remnants of something all over it. Although the decks were in a wooded area under the trees. They were covered in small limbs and didn't look they had been cleaned off. It was pollen season so the chairs were covered. Being a tree house feel and setting, there were plenty of bugs (as described in the booklet when we arrived). A property manager contacted us and very kindly offered to send someone to take care of the unclean areas but by then we had already done some cleaning. Again, this seemed to be an isolated incident, but when you pay the amount you pay for one of these, you expect things to be clean and ready. Just seemed like the cleaning crew didn't clean...but I'm sure we were charged for it in our rental. Lastly, if you like to sit in bed or on the couch and read...there are no lamps. There is not one lamp in this house...on the night stands, tables, etc... Lights full on or full off. No soft lighting.
