Forest Home with Shared Pool & Hot Tub, WiFi, & Washer/Dryer - One Small Dog OK

Plates and silverware were not clean and not a full set. Other kitchen items were dirty and needed cleaning, mold and rotting drywall in the basement. And there was rice and acorns in the bed. We left after 12 hours and have fought to get our money back which Vacasa does not want to do. Do not stay here

So the good things first! -property is located in a nice neighborhood with great views and local access.-the heat works stellar in the home. Now not so great things-not a single pot/pan in the house is usable. All nonstick cookware have scratches on teflon, oil stains on pans, dates and over used glasses, cups etc. - none of the dining room chairs are safe to sit on. The backs will come off resulting in a fall/injury. - bathrooms are super dated. Toilet seats are ripped, limited amount of toiletries, towards etc. - ripped curtains especially near the kitchen. Common guys, it’s a small curtain. Replace it! - driveway was not plowed and had 3 inches of snow when we got in. Next day, few more inches of snow was on the ground, but no cleaning of driveway. Day 3 due to winter storm there was over a foot of snow. We had called and requested cleaning of driveway. and we were promised that it would be done before our departure. Guess what, nope. We were forced to drag all our luggage, including little kids through the snow to the cars. The driest was not accessible and is decently long and inclined. We had 7 seater SUV’s so not small cars. Yet they could not go up the Driweway. Oh, noth the neighbors driveways were plowed fine. Maybe someone was being cheap. - basement is in midst of repairs, here is a bedroom with no bathroom and some work going on in the basement. This is not ideal for usability. Especially with little kids. Many other options available. Look elsewhere.

We loved every aspect of this rental! Everything was cute and clean

Chimney Hill has a lot of nice amenities that we took advantage of. The pool and hot tub were warm and fun for our kids. Being close to Mt. Snow was nice. The house was warm and the beds were comfortable. The house is in desperate need of some updates and care. Nothing has been updated/ replaced since the 1990s if I had to guess. The window dressings were so brittle from age they crumbled like dust in my hand when I attempted to open one. Also the TV didn’t work properly… If you just need a place to stay while you ski or hike and don’t care about stained carpets, ancient bed sheets and broken chairs! You have found your place!!

Great house in a great neighborhood for two families and our dog that wasn’t too far from Mt Snow. The clubhouse is a plus with a pool!

The location was great and we enjoyed the clubhouse pool and hot tub. However there were problems as soon as we arrived. Number one the entry door latch wasn’t functioning properly so in fact the door wasn’t locked and could just be pushed open. The whole mechanism was loose and coming away from the door jamb. Then found a note on the first floor bathroom toilet stating it wouldn’t flush and to only use the second floor bathroom. Inconvenient do four people, but we deal with it. There was supposed to be ample firewood, there was very little. We called to ask and were told to buy some and we could be reimbursed. The final straw was the television, which stopped working the last night we were there, turned it off and couldn’t get it to turn back on-switched batteries in the remote, still no go. In general the place was clean on the surface but didn’t have to look far to see it really needs a deep clean. The check out list said to leave it having been swept but there was no broom or dustpan to do the job. Disappointed, would like to think we might get a partial refund.

This property was perfect for a group of 6-8 women in our 30s to 40s! Everyone had their own bed and the beds were comfortable. Vacasa was very easy to get in touch with for any questions via text.. we did have some issues getting into the rental because there was a lock box as well as a key code on the door but we were able to text Vacasa and received assistance. The only downfall to this rental was the hot tub was broken yet that was not the fault of the rental. You do need AWD or 4 wheel drive to access this rental! And plenty of room to park in the driveway.

Great place to stay! I stayed here with 10 of my family members and we all agreed that the home was very comfortable and homey. We got to enjoy the indoor and outdoor pool at the clubhouse too which is great for children and adults alike. Wonderful July 4th weekend at this comfortable beautiful home!

We had a great time, nice getaway from NY, we had a snow day which made it the ultimate Vermont experience, the driveway was plowed on day of checkout, the home was spacious enough for everyone, bedrooms and bathrooms were nice. Also great location, clubhouse was nice addition enjoyed indoor hot tub. Place could use a modern update in kitchen, make checkout 11am rather than 10am, late checkout was additional cost,but overall we really enjoyed out experience
