Foreshore Beach House - Stunning waterfront home

The house was spacious, comfortable all the amenities that you would want and clean. It made you feel welcomed. The area is great though a little further from shops and restaurants than I would like.

The house is beautiful. The view was amazing. However the hot water system is terrible. We could only have about 2 or 3 showers a day. Pretty poor considering the house sleeps up to 11 people we had about nine people staying and in the five days I had two showers because there was no hot water. There is also a rude lady two houses up . The oven was hard to use and the dishwasher does not clean things .

The property was amazing, we swam, fished and walk along the beach. Grass area good for children games. We were disappointed that the spa bath did not work, after filling up the bath, then putting the 4 children in who were very excited, then a big let down.

Beautiful location. This location was chosen as it was close to where my family used to live. And was a special trip to scatter our parent’s ashes in the places that they loved.For a house that was advertised to cater for 12 people, the kitchen and its facilities was poorly appointed - not enough bench space and seating around the dining table. The dishwasher was dirty when it was first opened. The lounge room was not large enough for everyone to sit around and very disappointed about the fireplace and statement that it was under maintenance- we should have been made aware of this prior to spending additional money on firewood. Only one ensuite upstairs with 4 bedrooms was not ideal.

The spacious house, two living areas and being able to walk straight out the back door and into the water made it a very relaxing stay, with our little ones absolutely loving the beach front access/area.

Reviewer Comments: We loved staying here, it was the perfect size for our family, plenty of space for adults and children to be together but not over-crowd, even when stuck inside during storms. Extremely comfortable beds and slept so well with the sound of water lapping outside. Spectacular views across the bay and loved being able to step outside to fish, swim and paddleboard.Perfect place to stay.

We enjoyed our few days at Salamander Bay and the house is lovely. We filled the house to capacity with 8 adults, 4 kids and a baby. The only downside was the lack of an upstairs bathroom with only the ensuite off the main bedroom. Otherwise it is a great location and the organisation of the booking was seamless.

The property and location was beautiful. We have all decided this will be our new annual family catchup place. Couldnt get any better?

Reviewer Comments: As the names suggests the Foreshore Beach House is just that right on the beautiful Salamander Bay, lovely grassed area off the patio and a few meters to the clear water, very relaxing and a short car drive to either the Nelson Bay area or Salamander, just 1 issue when you are in the upstairs area there is no other bathroom upstairs other then the main bedroom en suite, so the other 3 bedrooms have to either use this or go back down stairs, something to keep in mind. Overall a fantastic home and location.
