The villa was as good if not better than the photos. What a fabulous garden. We found every thing we needed for our stay , except the trout they were elusive! Found the town walkable and everything we wanted at the local stores and cafe. Biked to the trail was fun. All in all a great week in Lumsden in a beautiful home.

Beautiful house and garden - delightful for sitting outdoors to enjoy meals and birds. Stayed with extended family including toddler and the house was very well layed out and comfortable. Hosts were very helpful and informative about the area. Would highly recomend!

We had an absolutely lovely stay at Oreti River House. The house is beautifully appointed with a comfy fireplace and lounge. All essentials for a week were provided like tea, washing powder, etc. The garden is absolutely amazing! Beautiful touches is the floor heating and big bath tub, lots of fly fishing and movie dvds We would highly recommend it! One minor drawback to be aware of is that the fire, police and ambulances are parked very near to the property. Thus, we listened to the sirens a few times. On the other hand lumsden is very small so there will also be lots of stays when you will probably never hear them. It did not lessen our beautiful and relaxing stay in this very cozy house

We stayed 3 days for Christmas. The house is very well set up. The beds are comfortable. We used the deep bath, laundry facilities, Webber Q BBQ, outdoor table, basically everything except the firepit and log fire as the weather was too warm. The garden is beautiful. The house is renovated so that it is modern with period lux charm. Great place to recharge enjoying the house, garden and quiet location. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing time at Oreti River House. We cycled on the river track, went jet boating on the Dart River, explored the local shops and towns and enjoyed a few days out in Queenstown. Ferg Burger is a must in Queenstown! The house was comfortable, clean and warm. Look forward to coming back soon!
