Flat Lot Lakefront with State Park Views

As always, our time at the lake was perfect. It was beautiful, it was warm and it was so so peaceful. The home is always clean and the amenities are amazing. Want to make spaghetti yes there’s a spaghetti tool and a colander. Want a barbecue which we did four times there’s a wonderful grill that works beautifully. There’s a Keurig for cups and/or a pot. Want a French press yep there’s one of those also! There were so many people fishing on the lake, jet, skis, and just the afternoon sailor. My husband took a great photograph of the Milky Way. The heron of course showed up for his photo shoot.This is our third or fourth time coming to this home and we will be back hopefully twice a year for as long as we can. Malcolm is amazing. He calls to check on you and see if you need anything. If you text him, he replies very quickly. I highly recommend this home. Although I hope you don’t go when I wanna go.

This lake house was the perfect fall getaway. Right on the water. With a great views of the lake and the docks from the back porch and the backyard. House was very clean and meticulously kept. Great location for all seasons. Hopefully we will be back in the summer for a longer weekend.

Our stay, as always was peaceful and just amazing. We love Malcom. Tammy cleaned the home and it was beautiful.We took so many photographs to include a photograph of the milky way. Next time we’re going to bring my astrophotography telescopes.

Our stay was perfect, the house is at a perfect spot on the lake not too much boat traffic, state park across the water which was lovely to look at. the house had everything you could want;) and soo clean.It is the top of the list of houses we have rented. The host was great with communication....loved everything about it!!!

Location was great, owners were amazing, despite the bad weather the whole week we still enjoyed our stay! Loved that there was plenty of water toys for us to use. We will be back!

This stay was the second summer we rented here. The property is as listed - very clean with many amenities. Communication with the owner was great.

The house was perfectly situated on the lake with easy water access. It was spotlessly clean and very well supplied. The airplane noise took a little getting used to but otherwise, it was a superb stay!

We loved our time here. Beautiful view from the upstairs as well as the downstairs. Great neighborhood. Easy to walk with our dog. Well stocked kitchen. We liked the individualized temp control of each room. Comfortable beds. Great recliner sofas. Communication with Malcom was great and very prompt. One of the cleanest VRBO's we have ever stayed in. Great streaming on the TV. Loved sitting on the deck and reading. Very peaceful and quiet area. Next to the State Park so we didn't look at houses in our view. Will definitely be back!!!

We had an amazing time! My brother came from Boston with two of his grandsons. My husband and I enjoyed fishing with them. We rented a pontoon boat for the week and were able to take it to the house and tie up on the extra dock. My brother is the fisherman in the family and unbeknownst to me, I fished for the first time and absolutely loved it. The house is located on a culdasac which made it nice for the boys to ride their scooters. Found out my GSD loved the water and enjoyed jumping off the stairs into the water. Only down fall was not being able to utilize the Hot tub, that would have been nice given all the steps I’ve taken with two new knees. Overall I will be booking with Malcolm again

The house in Moneta, VA. was very clean and comfortable. Upstairs and downstairs living space and bedrooms giving everyone privacy and quiet. The property is flat with a gorgeous view of the water. Great place! They didn’t miss a trick!

We wanted a relaxing winter getaway and that's exactly what we got. This property is beautiful and the home has lots of windows with views of the lake. The host was very communicative and flexible when bad weather threatened the area and we ended up needing to change dates. If we ever go back to the area in the summer I would definitely stay here again to take advantage of all the water activities!

Beautiful location. The home was clean and had everything you needed. We loved getting out in the kayaks every day. The neighborhood was easy to walk around with our dog.

Three days together at the lake... was great.

This house was perfect for our long weekend escape to the lake. The hosts were excellent at accommodating to our needs. The house was extremely clean. Providing us with the bedding and towels is always a plus. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a beautiful lakefront view.

The house was located on our favorite part of the lake, close to the state park. The lot was a great gentle slope! The house was great for all of our family and for our dog, Penny! The lake had a great beach area out in the water so there was plenty of shallow areas for our kids to play and have fun. The house was stocked with so many great amenities, from bed sheets to paddle boards, so we were able to just come in and relax without doing a ton of work before hand. The owners communicated clearly and quickly and answered any questions we had! I would recommend this rental to anyone! We had a great week!

This was the perfect quiet location on the lake for our family to stay (grandparents, parents, 5 yo 3yo and baby). The lot is NOT a steep slope like many SML properties so the little kids enjoyed running around playing and were able to get in and out of the water easily from the steps into the shallow water (great since they’re too young to jump from the dock!). The house is exceptionally clean and well appointed in the kitchen, along with nice linens and toys/puzzles for the family to enjoy. Comfortable beds and living spaces, beautiful view from the deck on both levels. We enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks and rented a boat that we easily parked at the dock. The owner and cleaning service were responsive and helpful, we can’t wait to come back and stay here again!

The house was clean, the path to the dock was easy to walk and we were able to secure all our boats.

The house and prooerty were beautiful. The home had everything we needed. One of the best places i have rented. Plenty of lake toys for my whole crew. Plan on coming back. The owners were very kind and quick ro respond to any questions i had.

This is our second year in a row at this property and we absolutely love it! It has fantastic lake views and very easy access to the lake. There is a large swimming area that we enjoyed every day. The host provides all of the water toys, including kayaks and paddle boards that allowed for even more water fun. The house has enough seating for our entire family and a nice large kitchen with cabinets filled with everything we needed. Our granddaughter loves the bunk beds! Our host was wonderful and was great at communicating very quickly whenever we had questions. Great house, location (close to grocery stores and restaurants), and so many amenities. Overall a 10 out of 10 for us! Thanks, Malcolm!!! We loved our stay!!!!

Well, I'm not sure if there is much I can add to Angie B.'s review. I most wholeheartedly agree with everything she wrote. I will reiterate that the house was incredibly clean - most definitely the cleanest we have experienced in a rental. The kayaks/paddle boards and inflatable/float toys were so great to have available. The location (as mentioned opposite the State Park on a quite inlet), the property shape with the long waterfront and the gentle slope to the lake make enjoying the water ideal. The kitchen has everything you would want and the gas grill made BBQ'ing fun. Malcolm was very responsive (and proactive) in providing info that made our stay even better. Let me just stay we arrived home yesterday from our weeklong stay at Lakeside and today reserved a week at the house for next summer! Need I say more?

Perfect location on the lake, water quality was wonderful and views of the state park (no homes) across the lake were picturesque. Lot was pie shaped so tons of lakeshore made it feel like you weren't on top of neighbors and had some privacy. Nice easy path down to the water and dock. Food Lion was only a 15 minute drive which was very convenient. We rented a boat for part of our stay and it was nice to gas up at the nearby marina. House was so incredibly clean (probably the best we have experienced in a rental). Beds were super comfortable and we loved having the adjustable AC in each room. Sofas were comfortable and kitchen was so well equipped with everything you could ever need. Gas grill was a dream to cook on. Loved the gate on the upper deck so you can contain dogs or small kiddos. Lastly, Malcolm was so easy to communicate with and very timely in his responses. They have put together a detailed book that answers all possible questions but if there was something you need or a concern pops up you have multiple contacts to reach out to. There are several water toys they graciously share of with their guests - kayaks, paddle boards, inflatable/float toys, etc. that make your stay truly easy and enjoyable. We will absolutely stay again during our next visit to SML and have already passed along this property listing to a couple friends. Do not hesitate to book this amazing vacation rental!!
