Five Pines was a wonderful choice!! We went up for my dad's birthday and we had a great time. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend!

The cabin itself was quite nice and clean. Also very spacious for a 2 bedroom. The balcony was nice but not used for lack of seating same as the front deck/porch. There was no dish soap available. We did purchase some and left it for future guests. The can opener could use an upgrade, there are many more durable handheld can openers on the market. The toaster truly only had one working slot. I would not recommend white towels and maybe have a few beach type towels to be used for the spa tub. Unless there were other linens/towels that we did not find. Thank you

Great service with your company especially for first time Big Bear travelers. We enjoyed the house a lot. So much character and lots of amenities inside the house and a cozy quiet neighborhood. House was clean and we made sure it was kept it clean. We had a great time as a small family making memories so thank you! :-)

Not clean but once I cleaned up hair in the showers I & swept the floors it was better. Needs more kitchen items but we made do. Decided to use disposable utensils & plates after finding dirty items put away. Master bed was not comfortable and needs either and egg crate or something to help absorb bouncing around with minimal movement. Lighting in the master bedroom is so dark the only thing you can see to do is the bare minimum. Reading in bed or getting ready is not possible at night. Shower upstairs was either scalding or freezing, needs a TP dispenser and a towel rack. Fireplace was lovely and had a large fridge w/ icemaker, nice living room / TV with 3 couches. Heaters in rooms helped with the comfort level in bedrooms - nice TV’s in rooms. After the 1st night we learned how to make do. Great place if the items listed would be looked into.

Clean, cozy feel. Great location... few things to keep in mind bring beach towels if planing on using spa. Kitchen things very minimally stocked as far as pans... no cookie sheet, small frying pan, and very small glass ware... need to stock it a little more than it currently is. A little hard to cook for family of 6... ohbyeah overall great place! Family had a grea

First, the good stuff: Perfect size cabin for our family of four. Very comfy beds. Good size jacuzzi. Good size fridge/freezer. Having washer/dryer was a plus. So was having the upright fans since the cabin got very hot very quickly. Overall, it is a nice place to stay in, and the location was perfect. The not-so-good stuff: Cabin did not smell clean. It smelled and felt stuffy. Closet next to boiler smelled like a wet dog; had to spray Lysol all throughout. Cabinet doors over stove were sticky with grease. Some of the cutlery (and kitchen shears) had food stuck on them. Kitchen needs better lighting as well as bigger pots. No measuring cups for liquids. No blender available. One of the TV remotes didn’t work. Called property management and they sent someone over to fix the remote and did provide us with a blender so we were happy about that. However, there were still other issues with the cabin such as dust on the furniture, and the linens which didn’t smell freshly laundered. Don’t get me wrong, they didn’t smell bad, but they didn’t smell clean either. I ended up cleaning the greasy cabinets, washing all the cutlery, and laundering the sheets. I also cleaned the table/chairs that were outside on the deck as they were covered in dust. Of course I gladly did this for my personal peace of mind, but don’t believe I should have had to do any of it for the hefty price of $300+ per night that I was charged. The Five Pines Cabin is a very cute/comfy place, but it needs to be better taken care of. All these issues are easily fixed by having cleaning personnel pay more attention to detail. I am willing to give this cabin another chance in the near future. Hopefully these issues will be resolved by then.
