Great property!
We enjoyed our stay. The views of the river were beautiful. We tried to fish, but unfortunately didn't catch anything. But, it was fun trying! The house was nice, big and as expected from the pictures. We were there for only 2 full days and it was extremely hot out. We had planned to use the pool all day both days, but the pool guy came around noon on the first day and added chlorine and said we couldn't use the pool for 4 hours. That was a disappointment to not be able to use it all afternoon when it was 115 degrees out. The owner gave us a small refund for the inconvenience which was unexpected. He did clean the pool though so the second day the pool was very enjoyable. For future vacationers, suggest asking the owner the pool maintenance schedule to set expectations. There wasn't enough kerosene in the bbq, but luckily someone had left some charcoal so we didn't have go out and find some. The dining table was large enough to accommodate all of us and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots/pans, utensils, some cooking basics like spices, oils, coffee filters, etc. It was also great there were two refrigerators and freezers! There were plenty of beach towels for everyone for the pool and bath towels and shampoo/soap in the showers provided which was helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and time together. It's a great house, and was a great location for us with a little something for everyone.
Great location with a shady yard and river on one side and pool on the other side. The pool was warm and shady in the afternoon, perfect for swimming.
Property was clean, Pool was great, Good spot for fishing on the river
Pretty good
Molly is a fantastic host and is very responsive. We have stayed at Molly's house two times, and will be doing so in the future when we come back up on our fishing trips.
It was wonderful and relaxing. Sitting there right in the back yard watching the river flow by, Priceless ! Canadian Geese, Ducks and birds galore. Perfect time of the year for us, not to warm, not to cold. The house was nice and roomy. Big dining room and kitchen, bedrooms clean and comfy, the bathroom’s and walk-in showers, very classy. We looking forward to gathering up some family and staying there again.
The home was clean and is spacious and well-designed. There are several separate hang out areas both inside and outside. In the back on the river, there is the barbecue patio directly off the dining room with a table. Below near the river, there is another dining patio (where we ate most our meals) and an adjacent fire pit across the path. Not to mention the hot tub deck and area directly on the river. If someone wanted to be alone, there were several choices and many places to gather for meals, etc.
Very beautiful and peaceful location I would recommend this place to anybody
This was an amazing house on the river, and perfectly accommodated our very large family. It had everything we needed to enjoy our long weekend!
This was a lovely house. The check in/check out process was easy and Molly was very responsive and accommodating. Perhaps I missed it in the explanation of the home but I did not realize there is no actual river access from the back yard, however, the views were fantastic. Nearby Anderson River park was a nice find for river access and kid friendly. The home was spacious and the kitchen was stocked with all your cooking needs. The only negatives were the gas BBQ. I think the heating element was clogged and didn’t allow for a large flame. I couldn’t get the BBQ to get hotter than 275. Also, some of the pool furniture was old and torn. Both these can be easily fixed.
The property was easy the find, clean and roomy and very well stocked. The river access for fishing was amazing…. We caught several fish (through them back) and the pool was a hit with everyone!!!
We had a fantastic stay. The house was so clean, comfortable, and welcoming. It had everything we needed for a wonderful family vacation!
Our host was wonderful, very communicative. House was clean and well stocked. We played lots of games while sitting in the dining room facing the yard. It was so cool to be on the river, especially with the hot tub out back! Kids loved the pool in the front, and fished almost every day. Don't be fooled by the neighborhood, it's a diamond in the rough. We felt very safe, especially with the gated property. We went to Burney Falls (1 hour drive), and the Sundial bridge in Redding. We would love to come again and do Lassen.
Beautiful setting in a quiet neighborhood. Sitting by the river in the morning with coffee was so relaxing. We have recommended this place to friends and family.
We were 2 families with children ages 1-5 years old. The home had all the amenities we needed in the kitchen and for entertainment. Felt like home away from home! Furniture/beds was comfortable and the whole house was super clean. There was an excellent brand new splash park (FREE) about a 5 minute drive away that our kids loved. Although the river is not accessible from the property, it was such a beautiful place to observe wildlife and feel at peace. Hot tub was great in the evening. Would definitely recommend to others!
Great home! It was perfect for our family to enjoy!
This location is right on the river and feels very much like home. So relaxing, Molly the owner was very great about communication. The hot tub and big chess table are great bonuses. But you can just stare at the river and relax So nice.
I grew up in Anderson and moved to Marin quite awhile ago. When our oldest son and his fiancé were looking at a venue for their wedding, and saw they wanted an outdoor, and barn style, I suggested Gover Ranch. That’s what they picked, but we needed a house for the rest of our immediate family plus one and uncle. We had a fantastic time. The home had 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. A very cute backyard that opened up to the river. The river provided plenty to enjoy. There was so much wildlife. April in Anderson is one of the best months to visit. Thank you, Molly. We will be back.
