From the moment we walked in, Emily's property just felt like home. The 3/2 home was immaculate and warm, just a perfect retreat for those looking for some away time with family or friends and disconnect from the busy world around us. The kitchen had every accessory imaginable so mornings started right with fresh ground coffee and a great meal before hitting the bourbon trail. At night, we were able to engage as a family around the firepit, ignoring our phones and just ... talking - or star gazing. We were able to just be in the moment - everything a vacation is supposed to be. Rooms were warmly appointed, hangers and towels a plenty, beds were firm yet super comfortable, and my 15 year old son swears the couch is the best in existence. With nightlights and clear labels on switches we didn't spend days learning to navigate the house, it truly was our home-a-way from home. Located just outside (as in 1 minute from 'downtown') Bardstown, you are rural enough to feel the space around you, but close enough to the city that everything is super convenient. Only 10 minutes away from either Kroger or Wal-Mart, getting groceries and stocking up is a breeze. If you are a bourbon fan, you've got to check out Bardstown distillery for a tour and lunch, Heaven & Hill's tasting bar and for super small, but unique hit up Preservation. All are within 5 - 10 minutes of the property and give you that warm KY hug need. Thank you Emily, you are the best host ever!
We had such a remarkable stay in July, we knew we had to return this fall. Emily is an amazing host! Bottled in Bardstown is simply the best accommodation in the region. Traveling with my sister and brother-in-law, Emily welcomed us back with a lovely charcuterie upon arrival. No detail is left undone. We are looking forward to another stay!
We enjoyed the place was clean beyond belief and very perfect for our group of 3 couples. Very convenient to town and all that surrounds the area
The host was absolutely amazing! We came to Bardstown on a work trip for our bourbon company to be a part of the Kentucky Bourbon Festival. The house was perfect! very clean, Everything was stocked and they had everything you could think of from a streamer for clothes, lint rollers, shampoo, soap and fully stocked kitchen utensils. Emily even had bottled water, snacks and a charcuterie board in the fridge for us. Also she wrote a great hand written letter. The patio was very nice for relaxing and the fire pit was a great way to wind down the day. I fully recommend and we will defiantly be staying anytime we are in the area!
Emily went above and beyond with little touches to make our stay comfortable. House was clean and beautifully decorated.
Our group of three couples has an amazing stay at Emily’s house for a long weekend. The house was even better than expected. It was super clean, included thoughtful touches like bathroom supplies and local attraction info, and was centrally located to several distilleries and restaurants. We loved the backyard fire pit and large dining table for hanging out. We felt completely at home and would return in a heartbeat.
This house was PERFECT for our group of 5 friends, gathered for a weekend to celebrate a significant birthday for our friend. The house, property, amenities and hostess were exactly as advertised and everything was spacious, comfy and very clean. Emily thought of everything and all of us commented that this was the BEST VRBO home that any of us has ever stayed in. The temps were high 90's and oppressively muggy but the house's AC kept up great! Although we didn't use the outdoor firepit or porches much, we all agreed had the weather been different, we would have as they were inviting, clean and comfortable. The property is so close to everything including restaurants, the adorable downtown, shopping and of course numerous Bourbon Distilleries! We can't say enough about the house and our hostess! Emily even left a present for our birthday friend - which was such a sweet gesture and allowed us a couple extra hours to sleep in before checkout - which was much appreciated. :-) This was one of those experiences that makes you love the VRBO experience and service! Thanks Emily!
Emily’s property is stellar! The home is exceptionally appointed with no detail left behind. We had a perfect weekend in bourbon country and found that spending quality time in the home was one of the best part of our trip. From from specialized morning coffee options, spa like accommodations, and a quiet backyard for bourbon at the fire pit, this is an exceptional lodging option in Bardtown. We look forward to booking with Emily in the fall!
This place is fabulous! Every amentity was provided and more. The space is perfectly decorated, and luxuriously outfitted. Staying at this property was like being a guest at someone's home. The location is perfect for touring distillaries on the bourbon trail, visiting Mammoth Cave National Park, or enjoying a unique dinning experience on the Old Kentucky Dinner train!
Great location. Immaculately clean place. Well thought out for renters. Would definitely stay here again!
