Fingal Bay, Port Stephens, dog friendly, close to beach

We were right at home at the holiday house. We had a very comfortable stay

The host was very welcoming and communicative. The house was big with a large deck and bbq, perfect for entertaining friends.

Lovely deck and great barbie. Sea breeze. Quiet National park backdrop. Easy walk to a great beach. Comfy beds too.

Three generations of our family and the precious puppy spent the weekend in this beautifully maintained, comfortable, well stocked and securely fenced Fingal Bay house. It was a short walk to the beach, playground and cafe. Plus an easy drive to Shoal Bay, Nelson Bay and the rest of Port Stephens. Great communication with owner.

Had a week there with my sisters one of whom has cancer. The week we had was just perfect. We shared childhood memories in a lovely beach side setting, drank coffee and relaxed. Highly recommend this property. Plenty of space.

The Beach House is suited to a large family group. It’s well equipped and the deck and BBQ area is nice. However, the house is tired and in the midst of some overdue maintenance . The access is not for the faint hearted and if you have any mobility issues don’t think about it !The owner was very nice to deal with but overall I wouldn’t go back to that particular house for next Fingal Bay Holiday.

My wife and I were wanting two days of chill and the house and location delivered. Five minute walk to an amazing bay and beach.

We had such an amazing experience staying at your home, you were so accommodating and great communication. The house was perfect for our needs, very comfy beds and everything you need for a short or long term stay.

A fabulous area. A fully equipped house lovely owners couldn’t ask for more.

The accommodation was awesome. Plenty of space for everyone - there was 8 of us. Great undercover veranda with nice views. Everything you needed for your stay was there. Would definitely recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a laid back relaxing holiday.

We enjoyed everything about our stay from check in to check out. The house was clean, in a great location and had all the amenities you could possibly need for a comfortable stay.

Great beach house, loads of space for our family of 5. We really loved the three bathrooms after a morning at the beach (only a short walk away). The afternoon breeze on the deck was also a highlight.

Even though it was a short trip and we only stayed a few days, we enjoyed ourselves. You can see the beach from the front deck, listen to the waves and the Birdlife. And it was lovely for us to be able to include our dog on the trip.

This is an awesome place to stay with a great set up for self catering. Lots to do around in the local area and it backs directly onto state forest. The owners are really good to communicate with and very helpful and responsive. We really loved our stay there.

Great place 5 mins walk to Fingal Bay beach- nice verandah to relax, eat and chat on, for everyone - loved the space upstairs and downstairs on 3 levels - we enjoyed watching Foxtel. We couldn't take the dog onto Fingal Beach only alongside it, but found another beach, Bagnall's, which was beautiful and serene and for dogs off or on lead - best at low tide. We took the dog there by car.

We travelled to Fingal Bay for an event and had a great stay at this property. It is very close to the beach and the house has lots of room. The kitchen is large and well stocked with everything you need. The bedrooms are very large, the beds comfortable and the three bathrooms are excellent (two recently refurbished). Our dog loved the secure outdoor area. There are nice views from the front balcony and bedrooms. We have booked to come back in January and are looking forward to it!

We had such a great weekend that we didn’t want to come home! Our kids are 9 & 11 and we took our cavoodle too. The house was amazing with lots of space. We mostly used the outside decking area and enjoyed walking to the beach. Would love to stay again in the future.

We had a great stay . Some helpful matters The light in the stove fan is blown and the stove exhaust system goes back into the house.The grass needs mowing front and back . There is mould on the ceiling in the main bathroom.The bbq is rusted out and had droppings on the plate ,we did not use it.The remote control on the key ring does not work I put a new battery in to no avail. A wonderful easy to find location. Steep driveway and steps into property. Front deck with lovely views across sea. Gate out back onto bush area. Steps inside house. Comfy beds.

Great house with plenty of space to spread out if you need to. Great view from the loungeroom out over the water. Would happily stay here again next time we are up that way.
