I can't overstate how beautiful, historic and comfortable this house is. We were in town for our daughter's wedding at Hart House, a few blocks away, and had a group of family members and a friend. It was absolutely perfect for us: even family members who weren't staying there could relax there with us. The owners restored this historic home with amazing attention to detail and maintain it in immaculate condition; just being in it felt good. They even have historic photographs of the house from when it was new. The kitchen is fully stocked, and Johannes provided us with an unprecedented supply of breakfast makings. The adjacent family room with its gas fireplace was cozy and comfortable for relaxing and conversation, with a view of the beautiful back yard. Everyone reported sleeping well. We enjoyed several conversations with Johannes, and were sorry when it was time to leave.

Beautiful home in a great location. Being centrally located, it was easy for us to head in all directions to visit family in Vancouver and was perfect for welcoming relatives in for visits as well. We enjoyed our morning walks around Deer Lake. The home was well stocked with everything we could possibly need. The furnishings were both impressive and comfortable. The owners made every effort to make sure we had a wonderful stay. We would definitely make this home our first choice for our next visit to Vancouver.

We spent a week in this lovely home with two other couples. The house is immaculately restored with high end furnishings and is so comfortable we had trouble leaving it each day to tour Vancouver! Johannes met us on arrival to show us the home and provided everything we needed. The kitchen was stocked with baked goods, yogurt, coffee and juice for our first breakfast, which was very much appreciated. Spacious and light living areas and bedrooms. The garden was in bloom and gorgeous. The house is a short walk to Deer Lake, which is surrounded by a beautiful boardwalk trail. Perfect stay.

Fabulous period property. Extremely comfortable, inviting and warm. Every detail for guests has been thought about and some - we were wanting for nothing. Extremely well equipped with quality equipment and amenities.Great hosts who were always available if needed.We would thoroughly recommend this property for people considering a stay in the Vancouver area. Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The property is an impressive historic building that has been meticulously cared for and beautifully remodeled. The neighborhood is full of grand, elegant homes, and we were just a short drive away from the SkyTrain station, making trips to and from downtown Vancouver a breeze. Our host greeted us with a lovely tour of the property and was incredibly attentive to all our questions and needs. They even provided a generous stock of breakfast foods for our first morning, which was a delightful touch. Overall, everything was perfect. I highly recommend this property!

As a first time VRBO user, I couldn't of had a better experience. The property was beautiful, and the hosts provided lots of nice touches, such as food for breakfasts. We had a great stay, and I would reccomend this as a place to stay in the Vancouver area

Stayed at Haddon House for my daughter’s wedding. The property provided a beautiful setting for photos before the wedding and a quiet, comfortable retreat after. We walked in Deer Lake Park every day which was an added bonus. The hosts were wonderful and helped make our daughter’s wedding very special. This truly felt like a home away from home.

We have stayed in many short rental places in the world.....London, Exeter, Algarve, Sedona, Newfoundland etc. and this lovely home was beyond perfect for our needs. The homeowners were so extremely friendly and attentive. Everything you could want while away from home was there.

Our family spent a week in this beautiful home. The hosts were lovely and so helpful. They went above and beyond...stocking the kitchen with treats so we wouldn't have to rush out for food. We'd stay here again in a second!
