Cabin was nice and spacious. The cabin did lack an air conditioner, which was rough during the evenings. Upstairs was very hot due to lack of air conditioning and ceiling fans. There were some great trails off the back of the cabin that allowed us a nice hour or two nature walk. All in all I would stay there again. I would probably just pack fans and maybe a mini AC.

This cabin was so sweet and perfect location! Love the open space around it, the neighborhood, and the proximity to town. Vacasa provides very few frills, including strict limits on paper towel and toilet paper - so bring your own for a bigger group. Also did not like that the beds were made up with a flat sheet on bottom and no mattress pad! We all found ourselves sleeping on bare mattresses in the middle of the night - which is kinda gross. But the mattresses looked new and the cabin is adorable overall.

We came in the winter on the week of a big storm. There was a lot of snow but it was beautiful! The house in a great spot with lots of trees around The host was very helpful in making sure that we were safe with all of the snow. There were lots of games and puzzles. It was a great place to be cozy and enjoy the snow! We would definitely come again!

The kitchen was fully stocked, and there were lots of extra cozy blankets around to stay warm.

We had a great time!! Plenty of room for hubby, kids, dad and myself! Beds were comfy. We enjoyed going in the backyardExploring the sierras. So much to see and take in. We loved having brunch on the patio overlooking the beautiful views. At night we gathered around the fire pit making s’mores and star gazing. We will definitely be back!

Fernwood is so charming and comfortable. We came with our family of four to spend some time at the lake. We looked forward to coming home each evening and having a warm shower and a comfortable bed to sleep in. The back patio and the front porch are great places to enjoy a meal where you can take in the beautiful scenery. There is plenty of room for a decent sized group of people. We would definitely stay there again and bring a few more people with us.

We’ve stayed in many great cabins at Shaver over the past 45 years, but this darling cabin is perfect! My husband and I brought kids and grandkids, 8 of us in all, and we had plenty of room in this cozy, inviting, beautiful home! The deck is big, and there’s a patio out back and horseshoes down in front! We took a beautiful hike into the forest behind the cabin that leads down to the lake…and we all jumped in and swam for an hour before hiking home to bbq! The beds are comfy, towels and sheets wonderful, and the kitchen well-appointed….we loved it all!!!♥️♥️♥️

Wood paneling on the walls and ceiling. Very nice bathroom big deck around the front and nice patio and back. Having a barbecue was also very nice. Super clean!!! Close to town. Really loved the home and location. Thank you very much. We will be back.

Roomy place in a great location. Loved the beautiful surroundings. Disappointed with the lack of cleanliness upon arrival. The kitchen could be better equipped with the type of cooking utensils needed for a large group. The trash piled up on the deck for the week, which lead to bear visits…on the deck. The bedding is stained and ripped on multiple beds. Made the best of it and enjoyed our stay, but would like to see improvements.

We loved our stay here. It was the perfect location for quick access to the lake and the horse stables. The house and property were beautiful and perfect for our group of 6 adults and 3 kids.
