Farmhouse Hideaway Near Grandfather Mountain

Perfect kitchen setup. They had everything we needed

Location to restaurants and other things to do is exceptional, centrally located to everything we want to do. Beautifully decorated throughout, you can tell the owners took great care in the renovations and decor. Perfect for our family. If I have to make a couple of recommendations would be: a larger quality Frying pan or electric skillet; the kitchen knives need to be upgraded; lighting in the master bath over the mirror, needs to be brighter. All in all it was perfect!! We will definitely return to that location!

Convenient location and cutely decorated however it was less than clean when we arrived. One bathroom appeared to have not been cleaned at all. 2 of the 3 bedrooms had so much hair on the linens one of my children chose to sleep on the couch instead. After contacting the property manager I was advised someone would be sent out to “inspect”. No one ever showed and they never followed up.

Loved this spot! Convenient to everything yet tucked away. Clean and comfy for everyone. Beautiful kitchen and updated bathrooms.

DO NOT RENT FROM RESORT REAL ESTATE AND RESORT. DO NOT RENT THIS HOUSE in the SUMMER. The description is deceptive! There is not air conditioning in all of this house. There is a portable A/C unit(pictured below) to cool the expansive den and kitchen and one window unit for the master bedroom. The other two bedrooms have NO A/C. The worst was when I called Resort Real Estate, the lady who answered the main phone was rude and totally was trying to gaslight me. She tried to argue that the house did have A/C but when I told her that the 2 bedrooms did not, all she said was,well, were you uncomfortable last night? Not the point and totally an attempt to redirect. Both her and another employee told me they would speak to management about some sort of partial refund but I've never heard anything. They are truly deceptive and dishonest in my opinion. I used them once before and they cancelled on me for no reason a few weeks before my trip and offered no alternatives. I should have never given them a second chance.... If you are the owner of this house and reading this, you have a nice house. Find another management company! If they are dishonest with customers, they will be dishonest with you!

Property was clean and in a great location. Check in was quick and easy. Would definately rent again in the future.

Great stay

Wonderful spot just up the mountain. Close to skiing entrance and also to restaurants, grocery store, etc. Cozy fireplace to warm you after a day of skiing. Would definitely stay again.

This place is super cute and cozy. Just 5 mins from sugar mountain slopes and restaurants. Highly recommend.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was very nice, nice decor, the beds were comfortable and great location to Banner Elk and Boone. The only things I would change aboutThis rental was that it needed a little TLC around the property. There were a dorty broom and mop on the front porch for some reason. Also, while looking over the back deck some white plastic was half unrolled by the wind from underneath the porch, there was also a plastic bucket and another broom within eyesight of overlooking the back deck. The fire pit to the left of the house definitely needs some upkeep. The area around the fire pit is not big enough to put a chair or would be on top of the fire. The landscape rocks are falling off around the perimeter as well. . Just these minor things would have made it more enjoyable . All in all, a nice vacation rental.
