We invite you to step back into the history of Dillon, CO. This family vacation home is our transformed mountain retreat, which we purchased from the State of Colorado in 1964. The original structure was a tractor and horse barn for the Ranger Station in the old town of Dillon. It was located where the Lake was to be built; thus, the family purchased and moved it to its current location in 1964. We converted the structure into a beautiful mountain home that comfortably sleep 8 Adults, and your children are welcome. Its history is quite remarkable and our home is listed as one of the historical buildings of Dillon CO.

You will be greeted with the original wood that covers all the 1st floor interior, along with many of the “barn features” as we have attempted to maintain some of its original construction. The spacious kitchen was converted from the two horse stalls. The family room was the garage for the Rangers' large tractors. The main floor bathroom was the tack room, and you will note the grain drop in the hallway. Up the original staircase to the second floor we raised the roof for comfort sake and put in the 2nd bathroom. The original wood was used for the wainscoting with dry wall above to accent the wood. Note the original wood flooring upstairs.

After this remarkable remodel and upgrades, the family endearingly nicknamed our mountain home “the Barn”. Our home offers a cozy setting all four seasons. Most of all, its location is easily accessible to all the year-round Summit County offerings. Close skiing includes Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge and Copper Mountain. You can walk to Lake Dillon Reservoir, enjoy boating or simply enjoy the spectacular view. There are easy to challenging hiking trails throughout the magnificent Rocky Mountains. Also, you are within close access to great restaurants in Dillon and surrounding towns. Be sure to try Arapahoe Café in Dillon.

House was very clean, great historical building, great location. We had 8 people and was very comfortable for the group. Huge common area with a nice gas fire place for hanging out in the evenings.

We had a wonderful stay at this Dillon/ Keystone vacation rental! The home had plenty of space for all 10 of us and never felt crowded. The beds were very comfortable, and the entire place had a cozy, intimate feel that made it easy to relax and truly enjoy our time together. The kitchen was well equipped, and we appreciated having quality linens, games, comfortable seating, and thoughtful touches throughout the home. There was plenty of parking, which made arrivals and outings stress-free, and the location offered easy access to nearby attractions in Dillon, Keystone, Breckenridge, Frisco, and Silverthorne. The host was incredibly responsive and accommodating, which made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to groups or families looking for a comfortable, well-appointed mountain getaway.

We had our whole family with us and it fit everyone perfectly and gave you that at home feeling. Walking distance from the marina was also a huge plus! We are planning to bring more family to this place to share the experience.

We had the most fantastic stay at the barn house this weekend. The house was spacious yet cozy - perfect for gathering together with our families as we celebrated our friendships- cooking and hanging out after a day of fun filled winter activities. We felt so at home. Looking forward to making this an annual tradition Thank you !!

Our family stayed with friends for a wonderfully relaxing ski weekend. There was plenty of room for our two families to stay with 4 kids, and they had a great time playing in the spacious house as well as the large backyard. The house was well appointed with a very nicely updated bathroom, all of the house supplies you need in the kitchen, bath and laundry, and very comfortable. Plus the gas fireplace was perfect after a long ski day. My husband also loved the history of the home. Thank you so much for the enjoyable stay!

We had a group of 10 and had a wonderful stay at Dillon Barn! The history is so cool and you can feel the many joyful times that have been shared over the years there! Perfect location with the lake being a short walk away. Absolutely recommend this spot - I think it would be lovely for a family stay as well :)

Stayed here for two nights with a group of 13 (Three Families). There was plenty of bed space for everyone. The house itself drips with character. From what I could gather, it was converted from a 100+ year-old state park building. It's adorned with old park memorabilia and signs. The living room is gigantic with plush carpet, several couches, and a poker table. The location was great. We had plenty of options for dinner and were surrounded by ski resorts. We skied Copper and Loveland.

We loved how at home we all felt in this house! The fireplace in the living room was a great place to gather in front of and enjoy each others company.
