Come stay at our private lakefront retreat! The very interesting, spacious, and welcoming home accommodates up to 10 people in 5 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms (a very large master bedroom with walk-in closet and bath, two queen rooms with bath, a room with twin beds that can be made into a king, and a double-bed room). A very well-equipped kitchen, a dining room table that seats 10 comfortably, living room, and large screened porch with couch, table, and kids' table. A pool table in the house. A large two-bay garage.
The waterfront has a truly glorious view of the lake and mountains. The boat house has a large rooftop deck complete with picnic table and lounge chairs. The dock has a covered slip for your boat or a rental boat and both deep water swimming and wading. There is also a fire ring at the lakefront.
Most important is the total privacy . No one else will be using the house or driveway or the waterfront, including the owner.
We are pet friendly as well, and provide a clean bed for your pet, too.
A few other highlights include a full-size child's playhouse and a set of swings, a pool table in the house, an extra-wide 2-car garage for your use, a propane woodstove for ambience, reliable WiFi, three-burner gas grill, and an unusually responsive owner who lives close by.
The house is situated ten minutes from both Lake George Village and Bolton Landing. Many boat rental and water sports options in both towns, as well as grocery stores and shopping. Outlet shopping, the Great Escape amusement park 20 minutes away.
Its a large, 5 br. It still has a cabin feel. Very nice and well maintained. Beautiful, easy to get to location. Near both Lake George village and Bolton Landing.
We had a group of 6 women relatives. We enjoyed the property and it's amenities. It was quiet and peaceful. Melissa was very responsive and knows her property well. Very nice respite.
This is a GEM at Lake George. Beautiful, private, and family friendly. We appreciated the ample living space, the bottom levels were perfect for a busy toddler to explore, and everything was easily child proofed with owner-provided baby gates and high storage spaces. We felt welcome and easily accommodated with both our child and our dog, and appreciated the owner’s communication throughout the process. The views from the boathouse and the deck above are spectacular. Highly recommend.
Our stay was wonderful! My 3 kids and I stayed 3 nights in October. Apart from playing mini golf for a few hours, we were at the house the entire time. Plenty for the kids to explore and enjoy! This home has all the feel of staying with family. Everything was clean, unique, and worked well. The lake is crystal clear, the boathouse had everything we needed. There was even a hiking trail across the street. Melissa was a fantastic host. She was sincerely considerate and very responsive. We’ll be back!
Had a nice stay. Good location and the owner, Melissa, was very nice and did a good job with communication
Great property, great location, great time! My family and I went for a few days and specifically was looking for something clean with access to the lake. My brother and stepdad managed to catch 49 fish during our 3 night stay! Fantastic time.
Melissa the host is a great communicator and wants to make sure your stay is wonderful. The house itself is cute, small well equipped kitchen opening to a dining/ living room area with a gas stove that was great to warm up on the cool autumn nights. The bedroom layout offered privacy and would be great if multiple families traveled. 3 were connected w on suite bathrooms, while 2 shared a hallway bath. 2 bedrooms while being private have the option of opening a door between them, 1 had 2 twins one was I believe a full or queen which is perfect if you're traveling with young children. The yard is private and there is a downhill walk to the lake. The boathouse with rooftop deck have the most beautiful lake views! We enjoyed having our coffee every morning on the deck! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, location was just 10 min from Bolton Landing and Lake George Village.. but removed from the crowds and peaceful.
Very accommodating home, a bit of a walk to the waterfront but worth it, nice deck above the boathouse and easy access to the lake for swimming.
Even though the weather was cold and rainy, my family enjoyed gathering in Melissa‘s cozy home. The easy access to the lake made it possible to do some fishing and boating in between the raindrops. Melissa was very communicative and responsive to any of our questions or needs. It was a lovely week.
Melissa is a wonderful host and a great communicator. Everything is organized and there are clear instructions for most things everywhere, which I really enjoyed. The multiple bathrooms are a plus - it was nice to not have to share (8 adults, 2 children). The property is beautiful and my ideal picture of a perfect, relaxing Adirondack getaway. I would like to stay here again sometime.
Was everything we expected. Planning on some ice fishing but wasn't any ice.So we cast out for a bit with regular poles no bites but still had a blast with everyone. Good location for shopping in the area.would return again.
We had a wonderful time celebrating the holidays at Lake House on Lake George. The home was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The kitchen contained all we needed to entertain family and friends for a large holiday dinner. Melissa, the property host was welcoming and very informative. Thank you for sharing your beautiful camp with us! Karen B Malvern, PA
This was not my first time in Lake George, But this was my first time renting a house rather than a hotel lodge. This was the best decision I made. Melissa, the owner was very sweet and professional from the moment the house was booked. Her Communication and personality made my experience even better. Thank you. The house is very special. It has a warm and welcoming feel from the start. 5 rooms, 4 bathrooms , great open concept first floor. We had a lot of room to be with the family or stay our distance. The backyard is my favorite point of the house. It has the best Breathe taking view of pilot knob. The wooden Dock has two floors. Top floor has wooden chairs and lounges to sit and enjoy the views with friends and family. The bottom deck provided access to kayaks and a tube to go into the lake. It’s hard to grasp my description in words. You have to go and experience this to see and feel how amazing this is. Overall this Lake house is Great place to be with nature. Relax indoor / outdoors. Travel around the town. Stay indoors and read a book, watch movies , cook and eat. It’s meant for anyone and everyone. The House was clean and has characters. There are hand written notes throughout house to inform us on what switches turns in what, direction on how to operate certain item :) this just shows that Melissa knows her house very well and can help you anytime. this was truly a great experience to my family and me. I would suggest this Lake House Rental to everyone!!!! loved it!!!
Such a pretty setting near the lake. Super helpful owner. We had a great time for a fall family get-away.
Stayed with my husband, daughter and our Golden Retriever for a last minute getaway May 11-14. This property is lakefront, fairly secluded and about a 5-10 minute drive to the shops, restaurants and The Sagamore at Bolton's Landing as well as hiking The Pinnacle. (There's also a hiking trail on the owner's additional property across the road.) The house and amenities are a bit on the older side, but fairly well maintained. Melissa, the host was very kind, accommodating and easy to work with. The boat house was key to our stay. We enjoyed evenings on the deck listening to the loons! Though the property isn't fenced, we were able to block our dog in on the dock and the upper deck. The fishing from the dock was spectacular and we were able to keep our fishing equipment in the boat house so it was ready to go at a moment's notice. This was a big deal for my husband. Not mentioned in the listing is that there are 2 kayaks and a row boat for use. We almost rented a different property that came with watercraft because we thought we were going to have to find some to rent here. Lake George Village is 4 miles from this property. Its far more crowded and basically a tourist trap than Bolton Landing. But if you're travelling with kids, there are arcades, restaurants, shopping and attractions there. We preferred to stay in the less crowded area - I can't say what it would be like in season though as this was our first time in the area. We had a fabulous time, would definitely recommend.
The house set-up was perfect for our family as everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom, yet we were all together in the main room. The large dining room was spacious and we had plenty of room to eat and play games. Bringing our canine family members was a big plus for us and Melissa provided bowls and treats for them. The weather did not cooperate for our weekend get-away, but we didn't mind as we were able to spend time together comfortably.
