Family Friendly South End Home

Upon entering we noticed tiny flea like bugs in the bathrooms and kitchen. We have dogs so we immediately washed the rugs and mattress covers, took off the bedspreads and vacuumed the carpets and sofa we saw a few of these bugs on our one small dog during our stay and at home. Previously never had these on our dog. Two of us also got a strange itchy rash upon returning home. There was also dog hair in the bathroom. This place obviously was not cleaned prior to our arrival. There was also expired yogart in the fridge. We were refunded the cleaning fee after notifying our host. Working with her was good and the location was perfect for us.

This was our second stay at the property and we've been very happy both times! Beach equipment was helpful. Kitchen well stocked with all equipment needed for an extended stay. Pet friendly,including a gate on the porch so the pups can enjoy it as well as the people! Lovely,quiet nei g hborhood close tothe beach which when we rented in late September was not at all crowded.

Great location if you are looking for a quieter OCNJ vacation away from the crowds. The unit was tastefully decorated without too much clutter and plenty of room in the kitchen for cooking and storing of our items. The foot traffic in the unit upstairs can be loud but white noice machines were provided and we easily fell asleep. We’ve stayed in different rentals across the island and this was perfect for what we were looking for. Toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags being provided was also a very nice touch. Thanks for the memories!

Was thrilled to find this dog-friendly house on my favorite block of Ocean City. House was clean, cute and comfortable. Would rent again.

Had a great stay! Evie was very responsive and easy to work with.

We had the most marvelous time. There are absolutely no steps and that was the ultimate for our group. My 82 year old Mother and myself cannot do steps well and this made the trip so much more enjoyable. The porch is fantastic for morning coffee and evening ice cream. The sofa in the living room firm and comfy. Loved being at this end of the island, quiet but ice cream,pizza, subs and seafood only steps away.

Property was immaculate and in a great location. Owner very accommodating. She even left dog bowls and balls out for our dog. Highly recommend!

Stayed here for the long weekend while visiting family. Evie's home was welcoming, conveniently located and clean. We would definitely stay again!

Clean and tidy

This home was perfect for a quick weekend getaway. It was very close to the beach and was in the quiet sound end of OCNJ. Host was very flexible and easy to communicate with.

We stay at Evie's house every year with our well behaved dogg Bailey. It is very cozy and comfortable. Its also close to the beach which is wonderful!

Great location, wonderful for families…short walk to the beach! Loved that the rental was all one floor- no need to worry about our 1 year old trying to go up and down stairs. House was clean and just as described. Owner was very good with answering all our questions promptly. Would definitely recommend!

Fun place- nice living room layout for watching TV and very well stocked kitchen. The property allowed pets which was a deal breaker for us. There were many parking spaces out front because the configuration was head-in parking instead of the usual parallel parking spaces. We would stay here again.

Evie's house was the perfect spot for our family weekend getaway. We like the south end of the island, and the house is only a short walk to the beach. The neighborhood is quiet, and the house was clean and well appointed. We would certainly stay here again.

We have vacationed in Ocean City, New Jersey numerous times. We enjoyed our stay on this property. It was an easy walk to the beach and it was nice to stay at the less crowded part of the island. The description of the property and the photos are very accurate.

My husband and our grown children had a beautiful week at Evie’s home in the north end of Ocean City. Our pups enjoyed the stay as well! We loved the short walk to the uncrowded beach at 57th street. The out door storage space had a wagon and chairs and umbrella. Not having to purchase beach tags was a huge plus!! The home was a pleasant 72* when we arrived and we were comfortable sleeping at night. Very quiet. White noise machines were provided in two of the bedrooms. The ceiling fans in the living room and kitchen made the air flow nicely when we were enjoying a meal or watching tv. The tv was awesome and the streaming provided was plentiful. Each morning the front porch was the place to be to enjoy a cup of tea and some quiet time. The monarchs found the butterfly bushes out front and we enjoyed watching them. The neighbors on each side and above us were pleasant and courteous. We never had difficulty parking on the street in front of the house. Thank you for a wonderful week that we enjoyed thoroughly!

We loved the place. Location exceeded our expectations. The beach was virtually empty when we stayed. The state park just down the block maybe 3/4 of a mile is a hidden gem. Overall great stay. The only negative we had was that the pullout couch was not very comfortable. We would definitely stay again!
