Family-friendly lakefront home with gas bbq, wifi and covered deck

This vacation home is beautiful, has a ton of incredible amenities and is a gorgeous location. Unfortunately this was ruined for our trip and we were unable to enjoy the amenities of the lake or fire pit due to local restrictions in place because of the Bear Gulch Fire. The AQI was over 250 for the majority of our trip, forcing us to stay inside or leave the home entirely. If not for the fire, this place would be absolutely perfect and we would love to stay again once the fire is gone, but as of Aug 2025, it is only 3% contained and I would recommend not booking dates for this place until the fire is gone

This is a beautiful, well appointed property in a spectacular location with private access to the lake and amazing activities along Hood Canal and in the Olympic National Forest. Perfect for family fun and experiencing the beautify of the Pacific Northwest or just relaxing, hanging out and breathing in the beauty around you! Enjoy!!

We had a fantastic stay at this lake house! The home was spotless with fresh linens, clean bathrooms, extra towels, and cozy blankets throughout. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the outdoor BBQ made meals easy. The retro mid-century vibe was super charming, and we loved the easy access to the lake, great views, and plenty of outdoor seating (plus kayaks!). The TV was simple to use, and communication with the host was excellent. Everything was so well thought out—definitely 5/5 stars. We’d love to stay again!

This house was the best for our family. Well stock, cozy, around perfect quick hikes and water. We really loved our stay. Having kayaks on the water was awesome. It’s such a beautiful area, even though it’s a big drive to the northern side where the most popular hikes are.

We loved are stay here. This rental was cozy, charming and had many little well thought out touches. In the morning I would enjoy coffee with a lakeside view. At night we would barbecue on the covered patio. The covered patio was very spacious and fit our group well. We had good weather but I could see you being able to use the covered patio year round (firetable and heaters made it extra cozy). We also went to Hama Hama Oyster Saloon for oysters and lunch, which was about a 30 minute drive. Highly recommend checking them out! Love they kept some of the design features of this cabin's era but added some modern touches. Would go back!

Roomy covered patio is very nice for hanging out. Well supplied kitchen with utensils, pots and pans, extras. Modern HVAC is an added plus. Comfortable mattress for great sleeping in a very peaceful beautiful setting. We will be back!

This was a great property with all of the amenities we needed. We took our kids and dogs and had a great time. Our family had a great time on the swim dock and deck! Highly recommend renting kayaks from Lake Cushman Grocery as they delivered/picked up to the house!

We loved the house. The house has water access and we easily anchored a boat off shore. The house is beautiful and well equipped. I gave it a 4 star review due to the grill being very dirty and greasy, it looked like it’s never been cleaned. We saw and heard mice in the bathroom and laundry room as well. Finally, Vacasa staff was not very helpful with information on the property and local amenities. Fortunately, it worked out but getting a straight answer from Vacasa was difficult. Overall, I would book again. We had an amazing trip.

The property is a time machine and cuts you off from Chaos in BAU life. Had all amenities and stuff one need for a comfortable stay. Will recommend !

Had a great stay! Properties owners thought of everything, including the seasonings I forgot to bring from home when making dinner. Close to Hoodsport with a couple of great coffee shops and local eateries. The lake was wonderful. We were able to enjoy our paddle boards from the private lake access. Will come again.
