Lake Leelanau, Michigan
**Family Friendly stays only, please no Bachelor/Bachelorette or College Parties. Our goal is simple. We want you and your family to make this newly remodeled lakefront home your regular weekly rental home for your Northern Michigan vacations. My family purchased this home in October 2015 and started an extensive remodeling phase that was completed in February 2016. You will have plenty of fun at this beautiful 4 bedroom, 3 full bath home located on South Lake Leelanau.
This property offers a huge backyard, 3 foot lakeside fire pit, sand bottom lakefront, a basketball hoop, and ample parking. The interior of the home features a remodeled open floor design with a huge chef's table that offers gorgeous views of the lake. I just replaced all of the windows throughout out the house and added a new central air condition for comfort. Also included in this remodeling are new hardwood flooring throughout the main level of the home and a new full bath in the lower level. There is a great dining area on the outside upper deck of the home that should be used to take advantage of having laughs during a meal while watching the sunset over the lake. The kitchen flows into the large living room area that is equipped with a big flat screen HDTV with full cable TV access.
The Master Bedroom overlooks the lake and has its own full bathroom. The other two bedrooms on the main floor offers a queen bed in each bedroom with a full bathroom across the hall. The lower bedroom offers three sets of bunk beds and a new full bathroom. Sheets and towels are included in the rental.
Lake Leelanau is recognized nationally for being an excellent fishing lake. Fishing off the dock has been known to net its share of Walleye, Perch, and Bass Fish. It is also an all sports lake, that you can rent a Pontoon or Water Ski Boat and have it delivered to your dock for your convenience. Lake Leelanau travels for miles from Leland to Traverse City and offers restaurants and bars that you can dock your boat and dine.
The town of Lake Leelanau, which is only 2 miles down the road, has a grocery store, coffee and breakfast shops, a vast number of wineries, and a distillery that is known for their Gin, Vodka, and Whiskey. The town of Leland is about 7 minutes away. Leland is where the Historic Fishtown is located with its many restaurants and shops, and Fishing Charters that will take you and your group out on Lake Michigan for Lake Trout or Salmon fishing trips. The city of Suttons Bay is also a short 9 minute drive that offers its own flare of restaurants and shops, along with a movie theater. If a trip to the Sleeping Bear Dunes is something you would like to do, it is located less than 30 minutes away. So many things to see and do in the heart of Leelanau County, and THIS house sits perfectly centered on South Lake Leelanau ready for you to enjoy and relax.
Amazing home, gorgeous view, sparkling clean! Owner answered all my texts within minutes! We had a group of 10 and plenty of room! Highly Recommend!
The house was just as advertised. Very clean, very roomy. Beautiful updated bathrooms. Beds for all 10 of us, with room to spare. Beautiful, convenient location on Lake Leelanau. Would consider staying here again. The host was very helpful in ironing out an issue with VRBO not acknowledging receipt of my payment to him.
Not as clean as we were expecting, we cleaned the kitchen floor and vacuumed the basement carpet Cleaning people need to be more affective, they didn’t leave enough towels, bed comforter was dirty and they forgot to leave a bottle of wine per the host’s directions Bill called them and resolved our issues Host did mention that there we’re going to be fruit flies, my wife had to make a trap to try and control them, seems like it helped
We have been coming to the Traverse City area for several years now with our extended family. This home is absolutely beautiful and has the perfect layout for a large family gathering. Plenty of space for board games and large family meals. It was extremely clean. The lake is great for swimming and boating. The shallow area is sandy, not rocky like many other properties in the area. There is a kayak rental right up the street. We kayaked back to the house! The dunes and Traverse City are not too far away which our older teens took full advantage of. Plenty of parking which has been an issue at other properties. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The owner is very gracious and easy to contact.
Very much enjoyed our stay. Lake was perfect, home was just as advertised! Easy boat trip to a beautiful sand bar on Lake Leelenau, fishing off the dock and fires at night. Great stay!! Would definitely return.
Our family enjoyed our stay. The house was very nice, well appointed and everything we expected. Bill was very helpful and responsive. No issues and we will stay here the next time we are in the area.
Bill was great to deal with, the house was perfect for our mixed group of family. We had 4 families stay the weekend for a short family reunion. The location was great, the house was perfect for us and well equipped with all that we needed.
We enjoyed everything about our stay at this lakefront home! It is clean, spacious, & well equipped; the view is gorgeous; & the yard, dock, & waterfront are perfect for family outdoor activities!
Bill’s property is one of a kind. Beautiful house with upgrades, super clean and a great set up. We had two families including 4 teenagers and the house had everything we needed. We ate every meal in the house and the fully stocked kitchen was perfect. The view of the water is so peaceful. We rented a boat for the week and were able to tie it up to the dock. Bill is easy to communicate with and available for any questions. A great week of making memories!
We really enjoyed our stay at your lake place. It was a great property and fit our family perfect. We would definitely return in the future and hope for a little warmer weather next time. Thanks again
