Aloha, The house is lovely. The grounds and privacy were very pleasant. The kitchen and bathrooms are a recent upgrade and modernized, fairly well stocked with dishes, glasses, silverware, pots-pans, etc.We have been coming to Kauai for a couple decades and enjoy the North shore area.We would rent this house again IF the following items were corrected.Beds. All beds have mattresses that have failed inner springs, and are worn out. 2 people laying on the bed would roll together towards the middle. The fitted sheets are worn out, there is no viable elastic in the 4 corners of the fitted sheets. Blood stains on King flat white sheet, NOT OUR BLOODWe purchased air mattresses at hardware store and slept on them for our 2 week vacation. Please replace with something from at least this century.Cook ware, please destroy/trash the pots and pans that have damaged teflon or enamel coatings. This is a health hazard. We placed them in cupboard next to fridge.Refridge has an odd noise like compressor has issue.Hair dryer upstairs does not work.Upstairs bathroom exhaust fan inopGround floor bedroom fan has constant squeak when running….very annoying even upstairs…Blue Mahalo Skies, dan & cynthia

The property was nice from the outside, but dark and gloomy on the inside. The downstairs bedrooms were not treated for bugs. We found centipedes in the bed. The outside seating area was full of spider webs and spiders. Ants had a trail going into the house in two different areas. The house just showed nobody has been in it for a long time. I truly felt like a dungeon. We actually reserved a different location the morning after check in.

This was the perfect beach vacation. Outdoor shower, lots of covered outside space for enjoying afternoon showers and we didn't need for anything while we were there. We hope to be back soon!

Loved this house. Nice big kitchen that was well stocked, clean. The main bedroom is open to the rest of the house, but the two bedrooms downstairs allow for privacy at night. Sweet little beach right down the block.

We loved the location-less than 5 minutes from what felt like our own private beach. The house itself is very nice and accommodated our group of 5 well. It is well stocked with everything we needed to cook meals and gear to spend time at the beach. It was comfortable with the fans that are provided. Pay attention to how long it takes you to get to places because no one is in a hurry-in other words-perfect!

Everything worked out perfectly. The home is beautiful and spacious, very welcoming. Many comfy lounge areas and the kitchen especially is wonderful! Wrap around deck outside upstairs was so inviting, but we were guests in January so the weather was not quite conducive to outdoor relaxation, but it sure looked beautiful!

Overall the house was great! Distance to a great beach was just what we were looking for. Only negative is 2 bedrooms are separate from main house so was a little hard to have a baby sleeping downstairs while adults were upstairs. Sat on the deck though that had a view of the door, and a great monitor, which eased our minds. Acacia was very responsive in all communications. Felt like locals in that location!

We had a great time in Haena and I do recommend the area if you like peace and quiet - its a 10-15 min drive to Hanalei. The house is definitely a rental but had a beautiful new kitchen and plenty of room in the master and living area. It is close to a the beach - if you use the trail on the far end of the neighborhood next to the YMCA camp the beach is better than right in front of the house. The management is responsive. The master bedroom walls do not reach the ceiling due to it being an octagonal design. This wasn't that bad but there is no door to the bedroom and you need to walk in front of the opening when going from the shower to the dressing room - kind of strange and not very private. The bedrooms downstairs are sufficient - one is a bit small and you have to walk through that one to get to the other unless you leave the sliders open. Floors upstairs were dirty.I recommend you rent or bring your own snorkel equipment. There are two or three beach chairs and an umbrella. Also, no gas grill. The backyard and back deck are coolest on a hot day.

We had such a wonderful stay here. The location is fantastic, being a block from the beach but also close to Haena/Tunnels. Regarding Tunnels, a tip to get around the parking problem is to drop people and gear off at the (always full) parking alley, then park the car back at the house or in the neighborhood, and walk back (maybe half mile). Reverse the process when leaving the beach. Easy-peasy. And the house itself is fantastic, so comfortable for a whole family to enjoy each other and also have space to themselves. I actually liked the covered patio most of all, so pleasant to eat, read, relax out there.

This tiny neighborhood is a quiet gem on the island to try slow. The house has everything you could want and the kitchen is wonderfully equipped to stay at home and cook up large meals. I wish the outdoor lanai seating was more comfortable for six. people

Really enjoyed the beautiful area, the weather, the people and the food. The house served us very well until the last 2 days of our visit, and this was only due to a storm that knocked the power out to the north shore area, and it was unable to be restored - west of Hanalei - until after we left. No fault of the owners of the property.

The property is beautiful and the location is fantastic. Just a 3 minute walk to the beach was wonderful. The house was well stocked with kitchen gear. The hosts were very helpful. The only thing that I think is missing I. The description is that there is no privacy for the master bedroom. It is an open floor plan and there is no door and just a partition separating the master bedroom from the living room and kitchen. Lovely place and would definitely stay again.

This was one the best places for my group of girlfriends to celebrate my birthday. We called it “The Nest”. The lanai was amazing, the well-equipped kitchen was perfect for cooking daily. And the outdoor shower with hot water was perfect after heading to the local beach. I was worried because it didn’t have AC but after opening the windows and screen doors it was perfect. The space is in a quiet neighborhood and the snorkeling at the local beach was incredible. My friends and I are already trying to figure out when we can go back to the sacred “nest”.
