The house met our needs for a family Thanksgiving gathering. The beds are plentiful and fairly comfortable. The master bed and bath are very nice. The kitchen was used a lot and mostly met our needs. The oven temperature is not accurate which impacted our meal prep until I purchased an oven thermometer. That should be fixed.

Overall, a nice, newer property. Community has much to offer. And the proximity to downtown Ottawa is excellent. The master bedroom on the first floor is large, comfortable and has a nice bathroom attached. The downstairs family room was perfect for lounging and playing games. Just have to mention a few irritations in the community - if you bring a dog, be aware that several of the neighbors close to this house are not friendly and don't want dogs anywhere near their lawns. The one across the street even has a motion activated alarm. A few homes in the same row have political flags hanging on the back of their homes in full view of the balcony and back yard - would be nice not to have to see these when on vacation. Finally, the management company over-communicated a bit - lots of text messages - some helpful and informative - and some irritating - especially reiterating many rules. Overall, this is a solid choice if you're spending a weekend in the area.

We had a wonderful family vacation at this resort. The kids had a great time water skiing. In addition, we had fun dining and shopping in Ottawa. We also enjoyed hiking in the nearby state parks. Your team is friendly and efficient.

An ad for Heritage Harbor popped up on my Facebook feed so I just randomly clicked it. I'm glad I did as normally I ignore ads! We made plans pretty last minute and got a wonderful cottage to stay in and enjoyed our time exploring the area. We don't often get to get away with our boys and as they age, they want to spend less and less time with us. They had a lot of fun hanging out with us, kayaking, swimming in the pools on site, fishing, and exploring Starved Rock. We ate at some fantastic places - Lodi Tap House, Lone Buffalo, and of course the Red Dog Grill. And we always love exploring the antique stores in Ottawa. We hope to stay again sometime soon - be it for some fall color enjoyment or next summer. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The only complaint about staffing was that we had rented kayaks online with Quest and when we went to get them at our designated time, they weren't ready. We had to wait about 45 minutes before they could be delivered. Granted, they gave us that time back at the end of our rental but it was a bit frustrating as we had a day planned and it shifted all of our plans around. But we had fun on the river and would do it again. The Quest staff was very nice and accommodating - not sure what the mix-up and delay was but they fixed it with no questions asked.

We had a lovely experience at this property. The area is very nice too. Comfy beds and everything as described. We rented a golf cart and pontoon while there and it added to the fun. Note that only the master is on the main level. All other bedrooms are on the lower level. Might not be ideal for families with younger kids. Perfect for our teenagers though! No complaints except one very minor one. Using the deck/patio in back was hard because it was covered in spider webs, spiders and bugs. I bought stuff to clean it but it was just too much to do and everyone was already not interested after seeing it. I’d certainly go back to this great house but would love to see their cleaning folks clean out there as well. I can imagine it’s hard because at night the river bugs were all over the windows each night. Great place and we will 100 percent come back! In fact we talked friends into renting that one later this summer and we are renting the one next door! Should be fun!
