Family Friendly Cottage with Lg screen porch - 100 Ft of Direct Beach Access!

We had a lovely stay. The host is very easy to communicate with and responds quickly. The house is maintained but dated and the humidity in the house was very high. The lighting kept dimming and was a little dark for us. But, overall, it was really great and we would definitely look into staying again.

This older cottage was a lovely vacation home that accommodated our family of 7 nicely. The home is in a lovely neighborhood about two blocks from the beach. The handicap access ramp between 34th and 35th avenue was very handy. The home has nice amenities with pretty much everything you could need. The yard is beautifully manicured with palm trees and tropical plants. The sunroom was our favorite. My elderly aunt really enjoyed spending time out there. The downside: It is a real inconvenience to have to pack along your own sheets, towels and wash cloths. No one should have to pay extra for that service when they’re already willing to rent your home. There is a washer and dryer there in the home that should be used to wash linens once the renters leave out. Also, the owner was not easy to communicate with prior to vacation. In fact, she did not want to communicate until the unit was paid in full which it was prior to my question to her. When she replied she replied in all CAPS as if she were yelling. I did not reach out to her again. I would recommend this lovely unit and only hope the communication is better for you than it was for me.

This is my go-to “home away from home” when I visit the Isle of Palms. Sweet cottage full of lovingly made personal touches. Wonderful beach access. Lovely garden to enjoy either from back patio or the amazing screened porch. Very comfortable. Highly recommend!!

Excellent cozy cottage. Clean. Very good amenities. Good beach chairs provided with plenty of beach towels. Outside shower is great - but the addition of a hose to rinse of the chairs and wagon would have been nice, too. The keyless entry with door code was awesome. Didn’t have to worry about losing the keys. Location is great. Short walk to the beach. I would suggest using 42nd Street Enterance. Easier to walk - has a mat over the sand walkway. Would definitely book again. Renting linens was very easy and no big deal.

Definitely family friendly; appreciated the many beach supplies; provided for early check-in; good outside shower; Betty is an excellent hostess; great value compared to other listings. Thank you for a great family reunion and enjoyable facilities.

Check in was great and we had everything we needed

The house was clean, a little musty as others have mentioned, but it is a beach house - A scent I associate with beach and good memories. The kitchen was well stocked, and the included beach towels were nice. I’ve never been to a rental where linens were not included, so I did not even think to order them. But of course, when I went back to look, the instructions were there and I had just missed them. By the time we arrived, it was too late to order them and get them there that day, so I had to go out and buy some. I spoke to several other friends and all agreed that lack of linens is odd despite all of us having heard of it being a possibility. Myself and another friend even have our own rental properties on VRBO, and neither of us ever considered that service. On the bright side, we have all new sheets for our own home. The beach access is very close and convenient. The shining star of the house is definitely the screened in porch as the mosquitoes were vicious.

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. We had everything we needed, there was plenty of room for our family of five, and it is SO close to the beach. We will definitely stay here again!

We had an outstanding time on our girls trip! The cottage was clean. Did have a musry smell. Some areas could use some updates.

Last month I spent a week at this cottage with my wife, two children (3 and 6), and in-laws, and I couldn't be happier with our choice. The house is older and modest in size (especially in comparison to the endless mansions on the Isle), but very well maintained and comfortable. The massive covered porch was a huge highlight; despite having to chase around two rambunctious kids, I was able to find the time to doze on one of the lounges once or twice, much to my delight. The large front yard and oak-covered backyard created a perfect Southern vibe, and my six-year-old had enough space to play football and wiffleball.The location was also unbeatable. The path to the beach is just a few hundred feet away, and the park/playground are just over a mile, aka a very quick bike ride. And then there's Sullivan's Island (ten minutes) and Charleston (25 minutes).

I love staying at this property and truly feel like it is my home away from home. So comfortably appointed with the lovely porch and yard. I go for walks on the beach, which is so easily accessible from the house. Betty is always a wonderful host. I look forward to my next stay.

This little gem is my home away from home. I love this beach cottage—well appointed, comfortable, close to the beach with the ideal porch and backyard to enjoy. Definitely will stay again—as I have year after year.
