Conveniently located between the False Creek and Gastown area, this unique location allows guests to decide if they would like to either take a short 5 min walk and start a journey on the seawall or take a 5 min walk to visit the renowned gas town district. This downtown area is well located near grocery/convenient stores like Costco, T&T Supermarket, Rexall, Starbucks, London Drugs, Nestor's Market all within a 5 min walk! Across the street is the International Village (Tinseltown) which has a liquor store, food court, 7/11, movie theatre. It also has a the popular CATFE if you wish to spend some time with some little furry friends!
Getting around:
Various modes of transportation are readily accessible within a 5 min walk to Skytrain, Bus, and Car and Bike Sharing services (EVO and MOBI). Guests can easily walk and/or use the skytrain for 10 mins to get to the downtown core and shop at Pacific Centre. Walking is a great option if one wants to get around and view the landmarks around the area. There are clear and separate bike paths located through the city for cyclists. If guests wanted to travel to the out side of Vancouver to head to the near by mountains and/or camp, using a car would be best.
My husband and I stayed at Deo’s place for a month while we looked for a home after a cross country move. Deo’s place was super clean, organized and had everything we could have needed for a long stay. The location is great and close to many awesome neighbourhoods. Deo was super at communicating and making last minute changes to our booking. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and family when they come to visit in Vancouver!
We stayed here for three months (July-Oct) while my husband underwent cancer treatment in Vancouver. The location is wonderful! Easy access to the trails around False Creek, walking distance to downtown, excellent stores nearby (the T&T market is tons of fun!), and of course Chinatown right next door with its incredible food. The view out the windows was a delightful bonus; there's a roof-top garden across the way, and it overlooks a mainly pedestrian alley, so reduced traffic noise. It also faces north and during the heat of the summer, we remained cool and comfortable (Deo also provided us with some great fans!) The building is safe, secure, well-lit, and clean. There are many homeless and drug users in the blocks north of the immediate area, but they are not scary or threatening, just sad. The building that this apartment is in always feels safe and well-managed. The neighboring homeless population was not a bother for us, just a bit of a surprise. There's a wonderful farmer's market nearby every Thursday afternoon, and the dock for the water taxi is just a few hundred yards from the front door! We highly recommend this location and Deo was always very responsive, quick to get back to us, and just a really nice guy!
