Walking distance to Tahoe City and Commons Beach (a locals favorite for summer concerts and the farmers market), and just a 10-minute drive to Palisades Tahoe (formally known as Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows), this Tahoe City vacation home is hard to beat. With a light, bright and open floor plan, the Fairway Favorite features a spacious living area upstairs with high ceilings and plenty of windows that bathe the room with natural light. A wood fireplace ensures you'll stay toasty of cold winter nights as well.

The kitchen is a chef's delight and is spacious and well stocked. Cooking can be fun and social with bar seating and a dining area for eight. Guests may also want to take dinner outdoors in the summer months where a comfortable deck and BBQ grill make mealtime a breeze and offer a perfect place to relax and unwind in the cool evening hours.

The large Primary bedroom completes the top floor, with vaulted ceilings, flat-screen TV and of course an en-suite Primary bath. Downstairs hosts two spacious guest bedrooms each featuring an ensuite bath as well as flat-screen TVs. Tahoe City is perched on the shore of Lake Tahoe at the headwaters of the Truckee River (Lake Tahoe's only outlet). Enjoy four-star dining, homegrown coffee shops, shopping, galleries, and a leisurely stroll through town on the lake view boardwalk any time of year.
Commons Beach is Tahoe City's four acre public park on the lake, popular for sunbathing, swimming, and picnicking. Group picnic sites and children's playgrounds are located within a large lakefront grass and sand area. Bike and watercraft rentals are available within walking distance of the beach.

During the ski season, you are just 15 minutes from Palisades Tahoe (formally known as Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows) which is the largest ski resort in Lake Tahoe. Palisades Tahoe has a shuttle that runs continuously between the base area of Olympic Valley & Alpine Meadows when both resorts are open for operations, weather, and traffic permitting.

We love this rental, it is very clean, cozy, and has all the amenities you could need. It is also wonderfully decorated and shows the owner's travels. It is located within walking distance to the truckee river bike trail and the Safeway. Super conveinent!

This is our 2nd stay at Faurway Favorite. This house is spacious, comfortable and clean. The deck and movie room make this home feel extra special. It is well equipped with everything you'd need in the kitchen. I can't wait to come back!

Beautiful home and architecture. Plenty of games, well stocked kitchenware, awesome deck and bbq with views of the TRT, tv's in every room and surround sound in the downstairs den. Easy access/walking distance to downtown Tahoe City. No AC so we had to have fans going all night. Beds were a bit uncomfortable. A lot of stairs. Tandem parking that accommodated 3 cars, but two on an incline. Was rough with groceries and suitcases. Parking at the Park and Rec office didn't seem to be an issue. Don't get me wrong, this is a nice place but with possibly elderly or toddlers, the stairs would be a problem.

We had a great stay at the house. The house has been loved. The living spaces are really nice and the tvs are humongous. Bring your passwords for apps and/or roku or they have a ton of movies on DVDs and games to play. If you are staying for more than a few days, I would bring some toilet paper, paper towels and maybe garbage bags. No biggie. The kitchen is well stocked. There’s even a kettle. I would bring a huge pot or two if you are having family dinners and cooking up large family style meals. There’s plenty of blankets, etc. Lots of room for the whole family and lots of friends. If you have somebody in the group that is older and less agile, there is a main bedroom on the living room/dining room/kitchen floor so that’s a little easier for them to get around after making it up to the main level. Overall, we all had a great time and love the location and the house itself. It’s only a few houses away from a wonderful trailhead. I can’t wait to go back. Thank you to the owners that let us stay at your house. It’s very lovely indeed.

Our family has stayed at this house several times over the years. We love it. The house is very comfortable and lovely, bathrooms, living areas, kitchen, furnishings, everything. We especially enjoy being out on the large backyard deck with its extraordinary view of the hillside forestland that makes it seem like the the house is situated in a wilderness. And yet, the house is conveniently located within walking distance of everything in Tahoe City, and easy driving to other attractions like Squaw Valley, River Ranch, and even Reno. A wonderful vacation spot.
