Elegant, spacious and beautifully equipped, The Fairings is a refurbished grade II listed cottage that settles in a quiet corner of St Ives just 15 minutes' walk from the town's centre. Amongst the home's many assets are a sumptuous living room with huge granite inglenook fireplace and wood-burner, an open-plan kitchen/diner with slate flagstone flooring and full width bi-fold doors, and a large and lush garden with two paved sun terraces - all of which create the perfect place for glamorousgatherings and carefree multi-generational family holidays.

Set over two floors, guests can pick from four tastefully appointed bedrooms, all of which are light and airy with comfortable beds and gorgeous furnishings. A lovely twin lies on the first floor along with a shower room, while the remaining bedrooms which include a second twin, a king and the master en-suite can be found on the first floor, together with a fabulous family bathroom and its free-standing bathtub. The sociable open-plan kitchen/diner with its inviting snug has exposed granite walls and garden views so you can cook, eat and unwind in complete comfort, and glass doors leading out to the terrace and gardens make it the perfect space for indoor/outdoor entertainment.

Ideal for relishing this beautiful slice of the Cornish coastline, holidays at The Fairings centre around the coast, with Porthmeor Beach and the harbour being just 5 minutes' drive from the cottage. There are many wonderful restaurants within 25 minutes' walk from the cottage like Source Kitchen and The Balcony Bar & Kitchen where you'll find delicious dishes made from locally sourced produce. Porthminster Beach is under 10 minutes' drive (or less than half an hour is you choose to ditch the car during your stay), and the pretty streets of St Ives with its galleries, independent shops, restaurants and harbour are a 15-minute walk. The aquamarine waters and golden sandy beach at Carbis Bay are 10 minutes by car, along with a clutch of fashionable eateries, cocktail lounges and C Spa at the Carbis Bay Hotel.

Good Housekeeping Bond
We ask our guests for a £500 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterwards if there is no claim. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this.

Pets: 2 pets allowed. Please advise the Luxury Coastal team directly if you would like us to host your pet after completing your booking. A charge of £40 per pet per stay/week will be applicable and required before your stay. We will arrange and invoice with you directly upon booking confirmation.

Please note that the garage doors and front gate of the property are monitored by CCTV, this does not cover the internal area of the property.

    A house in a good location. We felt very comfortable in the beautifully furnished house. Nothing was missing and we felt very comfortable there. We would book this house again at any time.

    We stayed at Fairings for a week in September as a family of 5 + our spaniel. Our adult children joined us and the accommodation was perfect for our requirements, the lounge is separate from the large and well equipped kitchen but open enough that you still feel together as a group. The bathroom layout worked really well for us and the utility room was the perfect drying room after a number of wet walks. The garden was secure for the dog and there are walks straight from the door. We walked into St Ives every evening where there are a great variety of restaurants to choose from. As a group of adults the house was perfect and it's so beautifully decorated and furnished, it felt like home from home and was a real treat to stay here. If we come back to this part of Cornwall we'd love to stay here again.

    The house is beautiful and would definitely stay again but just with adults or grown up children rather than young children, only because of the garden layout and the wall (which we we were concerned they could fall off whilst running around in the garden) If we queried anything it was answered straight away, the house was clean and very well equipped.

    A beautiful, comfortable house tastefully decorated and dressed. Very clean and well equipped with everything you need for a perfect stay. Parking is clever, opening out onto the garden and although it is tight, you can fit 2 big 4x4 type vehicles in if you're decent at parking. Location is great as it's very peaceful but a reasonable walk to town and beaches etc, no need to drive anywhere if you don't want to. Lovely to have the well equipped garden with BBQ also, with regular squirrel visitors. We really loved it. The only negative is that the downstairs bedroom smells a little damp. It does have a dehumidifier which fills up quickly but easy to empty.

    Wonderful house, very thoughtfully decorated. Plenty of seating areas, excellent kitchen facilities and utensils. Peaceful area and completely enclosed for dogs, which was excellent for me as have small chihuahua. Lovely hour long cliff walk to St Ives if you choose, which we did on a beautiful day. Lots of little picnic spots along that route. Natasha reacted very quickly to any small problems and I really highly recommend the property, one of the loveliest houses I have stayed in over the years.

    A lovely family cottage with a one mile walk to St Ives, good for walking off dinner! Also a pleasant walk to the Coast Path.
