Expansive Group Getaway: 11 Mi to Lancaster!

I love everything about this property I highly recommended for families and friends and the host is very kind and friendly .. I’m already thinking of going back in the winter ..!!

This is a great house! We use it for our family Christmas. Has a great living space and plenty of bedrooms. Wish we could rent for just 2 nights as we aren’t able to stay for 3.

The house was perfect for our big family!! The kid area was especially nice for the littles!! We were able to keep an eye on them while we cooked. The host was also very kind and helpful. It was a short drive to Sight and Sound Theater where we saw “Noah”, which was amazing! We will definitely try to do it again!

The perfect house for a family getaway! The host has thought of everything from welcome gifts for the kids to lovely decorations for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The house is large with plenty of space to relax and enjoy. Every room was cozy with plenty of clean towels. The kitchen is fully stocked and the pantry has a stocked coffee bar that was very nice! The young kids play area was perfect and the game room was a great touch. Would 100% recommend to large families and groups.

Great property for a family get together. Had plenty of cookware and dishes for our group of 7 adults and 3 kids. Well decorated and stocked to cover the basics including hot drinks of all types. Small gifts for the kids were a stand out for our little ones and, without a doubt, they enjoyed the smores. Thanks for keeping the property in good condition for your guests.

This large, spacious house is so cozy and beautifully furnished. We had three generations of our family here ranging from a four-month old to my husband and me in our 60's. The kitchen was well-furnished for cooking our meals in. We were attending a wedding at The Drumore Mill in Drumore, Pa. and this was very convenient for our family. The setting is lovely and we enjoyed relaxing on the deck and hearing the little brook and crickets with lots of privacy on the large wooded lot. :)

The New Providence area home was everything we had hoped it would be — and more! This property easily accommodated our group of 10 (8 adults, two teenagers) and furnished the perfect setting for our trip to PA. It is a convenient distance and easy drive to Lititz, Strasburg and Lancaster where we enjoyed the production of Noah at Sight & Sound Theater and the Tabernacle Experience. In addition we hand-crafted at Julius Sturgis Pretzel, stocked up at Whiff Coffee, indulged at Wilbur Chocolates and sampled the variety at the Lancaster Central Market. We had wonderful meals at the Speckled Hen, Dosie Dough Bakery, Bespoken, Chellas Arepas and Callaloo; and made must-visits to Rolled Cold Creamery and Down on the Farm Creamery (Post Office Road location). I don’t know what the previous reviewer was talking about in their negative review as we found the house and property so very comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable - we only wish we could have stayed longer than 4 nights. The house came furnished with everything we could have wanted and was set up so very well. The Adirondack chairs by the fire pit near the creek provided a nice afternoon wind-down, and there was more than enough wood provided for a campfire to enjoy the smores’ welcome package located on the kitchen island. When we did have an issue with one of the upstairs window A/C units, a call to Rachel and she came the same day with a brand new replacement unit! We hope to return and explore more of what this area has to offer, including another delightful stay at this house.

The pictures sell a lie, the truth is this place is right in front of a road, with busy people with trucks and motorcycles, could not even enjoy the outside area because of the septic tank, actually disgusted by the smell. This whole place is one of those, look at this in a magazine pretty, but in real life. shallow and empty. We had to plug the outside lights to the inside after the first night. it was supposed to be a once in a life time memory, turned into ruin by reminders of bad septic tank smell, and busy roads. This was not the picture in our heads we wanted, that was sold to us.

This house was perfect for our family. We stayed Feb 2025, 15 family members. Plenty of room for all. House was immaculate and well stocked - plenty of dishes, cookware, etc. Everyone's favorite was the coffee nook - regular coffee pot, Kerig, plenty of coffee, tea, sugar and creamer. I had to call the host twice while we were there with basic questions - she got back to me right away and was very sweet. Would definitely stay there again.

The house was perfect for our family Christmas. They even had. Christmas Tree and Christmas dishes. Hopefully making it a family tradition to come back every year!!!

Nice house with plenty of common space.

We stayed an extended weekend and had the BEST time! Kids are asking when we can come back and stay a week. The house was perfect for kids of all ages. So much exploring outside and all the activities/ toys you can imagine inside. Kitchen had everything you would need for a large group including a hot tea/ coffee station. Very clean home with comfortable beds. Will def be booking again.

A lovely home in a beautiful location. Everything we needed in the house and a super selection of toys and games for the kids. Every room was clean and the kitchen was well supplied. We’re already planning a return trip next year.

We had a fantastic time at Rachel’s home during a long weekend reunion with a group of young families. The house has everything you need from comfortable rooms to laundry to a fully-stocked kitchen and multiple play areas for kiddos. The outdoor area is an absolute dream, and we had a blast exploring the creek, roasting s’mores and kicking balls around. Also, when there was a brief power outage in the area, Rachel was easy to get in touch with and very helpful. 10/10 recommend!

Everything was great! Communication was easy. The house had more than enough space for everyone and was clean and well stocked!

Our large family reunionwas just perfect here! It was a great place to gather together, from meals at the large dining table, to outdoor lawn games, to board games played throughout the house. It is quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. The forest and creek surrounding made it feel like a private oasis. Would definitely stay again!
