Great location.

All the comforts of home. Responsive communication from hosts. Friday & Saturday noise from the restaurant next door was unsettling, but they are planning to replace windows on the bedrooms facing the business with sound proof windows. Very comfortable.

Not entirely tranquil due to proximity to highway 101 and late-night noise from outside the bar next door. Otherwise the home is comfortable, cozy, clean, spacious, and well cared-for. It is nicely furnished with ample amenities, a roomy bathroom, and a lovely, open kitchen, dining area, and living room. The common areas open up to expansive ocean views (although highway 101 falls between the rental and the ocean). It’s an easy walk into town, and many exceptional coastal access areas are within close driving distance. Considerate and helpful hosts.

Comfortable albeit dated furnishings. Great location for watching the ocean and people. Lots of movies and games. Fast WiFi, we were able to attend Zoom meetings without issues. Super helpful and friendly management.

I felt like I was going into my own home, very warm and welcoming, there was a little cake for my birthday! Had every “extra” you could imagine, listened to music on the CD player while looking for whales and watching waves crashing through the binoculars that were already there. Way better than a hotel room!!!

The amenities were nice, the view was incredible. Will stay again!

Right next to Chinese restaurant, motorcycle and car sounds outside bedroom window, pretty late. This is upstairs from what used to be a real estate office on the east side of 101, dated but comfortable. Only one bathroom on main floor, so two attic bedrooms up steep staircase got covered buckets (!!). Kitchen had all we needed to make meals, plenty of board games, tv, all as described. Not exactly what we had imagined, but we had a fun and memorable time.

Beautiful views, we saw so many whales! Location was great! Very clean. Our only complaint was we should have read the listing a little bit better as we were surprised there was no bathroom upstairs, only portable camping type potties. We also thought the stairs were steep so if you had elderly people with you, it could be a hazard. Otherwise a great place to stay with great views.

It could have been cleaner, so we cleaned it and it was an enjoyable stay! Loved the view!!

The view was nice. The restaurant next door was open late and with the windows open you could hear the patrons. The beds wew comfortable. The restaurant across the street was a treat. We ended up going 2 times.

WiFi issues, black ants everywhere, dishwasher wouldn’t start, carpet upstairs was dirty, had not been vacuumed before our arrival, very steep stairs for 80 year olds, lots of road noise, night noise from the north side outside of the master bedroom. I am sorry for the negative review but we were definitely disappointed. On a positive note, the view was pretty good.

Everything was practically perfect. Enjoyed this day. Enjoy the view. We did have a bit of trouble right at the end with ants in the kitchen and bathroom especially other than that it was a perfect day. Thank you for your hospitality.

The smell of smoke was nauseating. I can’t believe nobody else has mentioned that. I think it’s coming up through the floor from downstairs. I called the host and left a message and never heard back. The upstairs is not viable since there is no bathroom up there and the stairs are too steep to use in the middle of the night, or first thing in the morning. Handrail doesn’t go all the way to the top and the treads are very narrow. The camera at the (only) door feels awkward. Many furnishings are very old (1980s) and worn out and dirty. With a little effort this place could be nice, but really just for two people. The internet didn’t work and phone service is weak. For the price, we could have stayed at a nice hotel there. View was great, but no whales at all. Bed is very comfortable. Plenty of ants and spiders. I wish I could post pictures. But the smell just permeated everything. There were instructions to leave everything as when we arrived, but I don’t understand why we should have to strip the beds when we pay for cleaning. Many surfaces were dirty and would benefit from just being wiped down.

The view of Depoe Bay from our house was awesome. The location allowed us to take day trips both north and south along the coast. The one disappointment was the smell of cigarette smoke from the lower level of the building invading our space.

Very comfortable house, best bed I've ever slept on in a rental. And the view....AMAZING! it's right in front of Hwy 101 but the house was so insulated you did not hear any road noise. Everything we needed for a quick get getaway!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful property, and even saw whales from the front windows! It was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and everything worked. It was the perfect place to relax and also as a home base to explore more of the coast. There was a spacious parking area in the back, including a covered carport.

This spot is amazing. Everything provided for a awesome stay. And an amazing living room with absolute gorgeous views and saw lots of whales!

Walt & Vicki were great hosts; very friendly and communicated well about our stay. We loved watching the King Tides from the wide open living & Dining room windows. The hosts do mention the noise from the neighboring Chinese Restaurant & bar. They mention a 6 foot buffer that reduces noise. However, if you're not a bar / karaoke fan late into the night (midnight -1am) then I'd look elsewhere as it's right out of the bedroom window and above any buffer that may be there. Otherwise GREAT location.

As always, Walt’s place was terrific!! Great views, easy to move around. Close to lots of things to do and places to eat. We’ll be back!

I booked this home because a reviewer said they watched whales from the window with the provided telescope. Not only was this totally true the home also had two sets of binoculars. I watched whales every morning, afternoon and evening unless we made other plans. The location allowed us to walk to town and view whales and seals from the sea wall and sun set walks to north point. We didn't use upstairs but the rest of the house was well equipped and decorated all seaside Gramma-core. I want to stay here every year for the rest of my life!!!!

What a great week. Our wonderful little house had a terrific view although it was partially blocked by a restaurant but we were still able to get a look at the visiting whales every day. And the restaurant, Tidal Raves, was terrific. We had our 57th anniversary dinner there. We both had something we’d never had before and it was delicious. We ate the Chinese restaurant next door on our first night . The menu was limited but the portions we huge and delicious. The restaurant and bar is right across from the bedroom window. It gets a little noisy and Smokey but that wasn’t a problem for us. We would definitely go back again.

This home is very comfortable and has everything you need.
