Estrella Cottage - Pet Friendly! Close to Town Square, Private balconies

We had an excellent time here! The home was fully stocked with everything we needed and we especially loved that it was dog friendly and the first house off the Rosemary Square!

My family and I have rented from Rosemary Beach Cottage Rental several times over the last ten years. We have stayed in their properties ranging from a penthouse with a gulf view on Main St. to a one-bedroom carriage house on the opposite side. Each one has been lovely, well appointed, and clean adding to the magical experience we have come to know and love when vacationing in Rosemary. Unfortunately this was not our experience when we stayed at their Estrella Cottage. The wonderful things to note about this property: the location is great, a nice layout with the master downstairs, full-size washer and dryer, enjoyable patio space, it comes with the use of four bikes and access to all outdoor amenities, and it’s pet friendly. Sadly, the downstairs is quite dark, some of the window blinds are broken, and the throw pillows on the couch are torn and falling apart. The worst part though was that it was filthy. Upon checking in we found broken glass on the patio along with a leftover Starbuck’s cup and wadded up napkin. The downstairs family room and kitchen had not been swept or mopped. There was food, sand, pet food, and pet hair on the floor. The pet hair at the bottom of the bar was probably 3 to 4 inches high and the bar stools themselves had an abundance of pet hair stuck to the bottom. The couch was also filled with sand. The cleaners were called back. My husband helped them clean. Their cleaning supplies were inadequate and we went back to the rental company. They arranged for us to meet with the gentleman who oversaw cleaning. He arranged for another man to come out to vacuum, sweep, and mop, and then scheduled the couch to be steam cleaned the next day (Sunday). Additionally, he also said he would arrange for a mid-week cleaning, which has not been the norm during covid. RBC Rental compensated us for our inconvenience for our first two days, which we greatly appreciated. All of us were hopeful that we could move forward. However, we had all devoted so much attention to the family room and kitchen areas that we hadn’t looked in some of the other areas. The master bathroom floor had not been swept or mopped. Not wanting to be the unbearable and complaining guest, I decided to use a different bathroom with the expectation that someone would come Wednesday to clean everything. They never showed. Soon after our arrival, the roaches appeared. Not a stray or two that snuck under the door after dark. I saw them regularly…

We had a great time. It was our first time visiting Rosemary Beach. The location of this property was great, easy walking distance to everything including the beach. My kids loved getting up in the morning a heading to donut shop. We enjoyed touring around in the bikes that were included. I used a previous review and brought our own beach towels... glad we did because there were none on the property to use. All the restaurants were amazing... but we did take advantage of the grill and ate in which was nice. They have a great dining room table, but also lots of spots to sit outside. We endured some rainy days while we were there and took full advantage of the movie rentals they had available... lots of great choices and it was just right around the corner!!

Parking was really tough, take map to find location because is also very dark at night and home can be difficult to locate without it. but everything else was perfect! Super close to everything! Already had 4 bikes. Oh yeah take beach towels there are nome for you to use there, thankfully we thought ahead!
