Escape from it all at this 1 acre beachfront getaway

Hosts made a warm and wonderful weekend with their little gem on the coast. Thanks so much for allowing us to experience this time and place. So many birds we added to our list and so many laughs spent together with good friends.

This is such a lovely and comfortable house. The walk to the beach is so pretty with the flowers and the trees. It is very private even though there are other houses close. The beds were super comfortable and everything was very clean. I contacted the owners about some questions and they were so responsive and kind. We really enjoyed our time at the beach and we were close to the different coast cities so getting around was super easy and convenient.

I always enjoy staying at this lovely place by the ocean. Always clean and welcoming. I plan to be back next year.

Unique, comfortable, accurately priced for the summer season. Three adult women were a perfect sized party. The property itself is truly special. We walked on an empty beach every morning and evening. The trail to the beach was easy enough and somewhat magical. I hope to return.

Location was nice. Walk outdoors down the short path to the 7 mile uncrowded beach. Beds were little firm. They provided bird seed and had multiple varieties of birds and chipmunks out the back door. The house was large enough for our family of 4. Close to everything less than an hour drive to cannon beach and state parks. Creamery down the road. Bunnies at Cannon beach. Best tidepooling 3 minutes south of house below the railroad tracks. Sliding glass doors need work and screens on back door.

Lovely property with a short little walk over a sweet bridge, through a magical forest, past a great fire pit next to a picnic table, to the ocean in front of the iconic Twin Rocks. The home was extremely comfortable (the beds too!) My daughter, SIL, 8 year old grandson and I had a wonderful time making memories. The chipmunk was especially a hit with the grandson - as well as a deer that wandered onto the property.

This home had literally anything we needed aside from a washer and dryer. Not sure how I missed that but it was fine. The home was clean and well thought out. We loved the memories we created here for our sons 8th birthday. Thank you, we'll remember it forever.

We came for my husbands birthday and it was wonderful. A truly magical spot.

We had a lovely weekend with our daughter and her family, including two small grandchildren. It was the perfect spot! The kids loved watching birds and finding slugs—they enjoyed the property almost as much as the beach (which was conveniently very close). The adults enjoyed all that too, as well as a well-equipped vacation kitchen, comfortable beds, and a cozy living room to hang out in for games and reading…

A smaller house by the beach. We had a nice garden lot behind the house, the owners had lots of notes about local flora and fauna. An easy drive to Rockaway (3-5min). Owners were very responsive. Kitchen had the std things you’d need for basic meal prep.

Beautiful property right on the beach. Very roomy and clean. Couldn't ask for a better place for a beach trip in Rockaway.

Our family had the best time! Location was great; quiet driveway but just close enough to Tillamook and downtown Rockaway in case we needed anything. Best part was the property and private trail to the beach. The house had everything we needed! We hope to stay here again in the future.

My friend and I had such a lovely stay at this warm, welcoming home! The house had everything we needed, and a few things we didn't realize we needed until we arrived (jigsaw puzzles! bird identification guides!), and is surrounded by the most beautiful, mostly native garden. It's a short walk to the beach, which we had mostly to ourselves every time we visited, and when we returned to the house, it was so nice to sit on the deck and watch all the birds and chipmunks frolic while we sorted our beach treasures. Highly recommend this spot, and will definitely return in the future if they continue to rent it out. Thank you so much, Neal and Ida, for sharing your lovely home with us!
