Stayed Sep 26, 2024We were in the bell tower, bright, modern, yet with quiet echoes of the history of the area. As an American, I felt the Canadian vibe. Highly recommend if you are looking for something unconventional.

Stayed Oct 6, 2023We spent Thanksgiving weekend at this property. It was unique and nicely situated between Perth and Smiths Falls. It was spacious and comfortable and gave everyone privacy when they wanted it and a large living room for gathering together. We enjoyed the fireplace in the evenings. Our hosts were lovely and left us apples picked from their own trees as well as a homemade apple crisp.

Stayed Jan 27, 2023The property was comfortable, well-appointed, beautifully decorated with lots of comfy furniture. We enjoyed the wood fireplace and all the special little touches that Garry and Janice included to make our stay practically perfect. The sunroom converted to a bedroom worked better than we thought it would.

Stayed Aug 19, 2022We needed a home base for a cottage-country weekend wedding and this converted old church was just the ticket. The hosts provided all the details we needed to make it a wonderful stay. Beds were comfortable, fully outfitted kitchen, close parking, and fun space including the garden out back and the beautiful church windows throughout. We wanted for nothing and Janice and Garry were very gracious and communicative. It’s close to a drive in theatre which we didn’t have the time to visit but maybe will next time. Freshly baked yummy cinnamon buns are available daily at the general store in Rideau Ferry, jus a few minutes drive away. We even stopped to pick up some to take home. You can get worms there too but I wouldn’t call them yummy although the fish would. We all highly recommend this quaint spot.

Stayed Aug 14, 2022Well appointed and spacious flat created from a former village Anglican church. It is located in a quiet village mid-way between Perth and Smith Falls. We have stayed at many different VRBO properties over the years, this is undoubtedly one of our favourites

Stayed Jul 22, 2022The church conversion has been done thoughtfully and with love. Everything works and is comfortable if not luxurious. The host was highly accommodating and friendly. Great location if you want to explore Smith’s Falls, Perth and Merrickville. The nearby boat ramp is great for smaller boats, our 18’ bass boat was about as big as would fit. The big surprise was the number of high quality restaurants in Perth. Bistro 54 is an outstanding Italian. Fiddleheads and Mex&Co are also excellent with good food and unique ambiance.
