Stayed Feb 19, 2020Overall experience was very good. Pool was great and the house was well equipped. The property has a while guest house which was a little hard to understand fro the VRBO website but very cool. Would stay here again.

Stayed Jul 28, 2019The house, property and location is outstanding. We rented the house for our family of 11 that included 3 generations. The great room and outside seating was spacious enough to gather for meals, conversations and lots of card games, yet no one had a problem finding an area for some quiet time either. The pool and hot tub welcomed us after busy days of visiting local beaches, hiking and experiencing the beauty of La Jolla. Everyone agreed it was the best and most relaxing vacation ever!

Stayed Jan 18, 2018We stayed here with friends for a Couples Retreat and it was so great! We each had our own space, but the layout also lent itself to being together often. The hot tub was amazing for the cooler weather and nights, and the home itself was beautiful!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The home is very modern and beautiful. The home's amenities such as the hot tub, grill, showers, etc. are wonderful. The location is excellent with a short walk to the ocean and an easy ride to the many attractions of La Jolla and San Diego. My major complaint was the fee for heating the pool. The home rental is obviously not cheap and I was aware in advance that heating the pool was not included. I was not prepared to find out when we arrived that the charge would be $100 per day. It was too cool to swim in the pool in December without heating it but I just didn't feel comfortable adding another significant amount to what we were already spending.Obviously, others might feel differently but I wish I had known about what I view as an excessive fee prior to my booking the rental. Otherwise we really loved the house and would return again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My husband and I stayed in this house for a weeklong getaway and had an amazing time. It is a bike ride away from the beach but only a block walk to ocean. The views from the house are incredible. The amenities are wonderful including a walk in shower with two shower heads, jet tub, hot tub, pool and a grill. There is also plenty of outdoor seating and eating areas. There is also a very nice gas grill and high end appliances if you prefer to stay in for meals! We biked and walked to multiple places around town easily and watched the sunset every night, very romantic. There is also plenty of space for families, especially with use of the casasita. I would highly recommend this house! And bluewater was very helpful and courteous!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Our family of 5 stayed in this wonderful home for a week during spring break. As east coast natives, the amazing out door spaces were fantastic. Plenty of comfortable seating for hanging out together or getting away on your own to read a book. The house itself open and modern with great bedrooms perfect for each of us. The additional area above the garage was a great place for our college bound son to test out his own place. The house is set up very well for guests - Instructions are clear and precise. Large screen TVs perfect for sports or movies. Great internet connectivity. The hot tub and pool were well used by our family. We really felt right at home the entire stay. This house was a perfect place to launch our daily adventures around San Diego.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Our extended family of 8 rented this home for a vacation. The house is new and spacious with an open floor plan. The home has an extended outdoor living area complete with a pool, fireplace and lots of new outdoor furniture. It has gorgeous views, especially of the sunset and is a block from the beach, although it is more of a surfing beach than a swimming beach. We walked 2 blocks into Bird Rock where there are plentiful shops and restaurants. The guest house would be ideal for a couple wishing for privacy or even for teenagers. The home was spotless when we got there and BlueWater was very responsive to the few issues we encountered and really provided impressive customer service. I would highly recommend Surfside Cuisine if you would like a personal chef to come in and cook for you. It was such a fun experience and we had the best meal of our vacation. The house really is that beautiful that you want to stay in and enjoy the amenities. A couple of other tips: rent bikes at the bird rock surf shop and ride along the boardwalk in Pacific Beach and Mission Beach, uber is very inexpensive and readily available, check out La Jolla village, La Jolla Shores Beach and the Torrey Pines Gliderpark for the views.
