A spectacular, cozy cabin on Togus pond! Despite the name, the pond is more of a lake, more than a mile long and very swimable. The waterfront views were excellent. The cabin is pretty close to neighbors, who could be loud sometimes, but they were also very friendly. Overall I would highly recommend the cabin for anyone looking to get away on a relaxing vacation!
We really enjoyed our stay in this quaint little cottage. The lake was beautiful to wake up to, the cottage was private but a quick drive to Augusta or Hallowell. We rented kayaks from Webb and Sons kayak/canoe rental and they dropped them off right to the cabin. I would recommend that to anyone interested. They were very easy to work with. The cabin/cottage was perfect for us, and we loved the porch and backyard area.
The cabin was cozy and very clean and comfortable! Steps away from the lake where up to eight loons visited daily. Quiet, beautiful and serene!
We stayed here to be close to Augusta as we participated in the Ironman 79.3. It was so easy to get to town and back, with Hannafords on the way. The kitchen is well equipped, easy to cook a meal. The best part is the fabulous view of the lake; we couldn’t take our eyes off it. Definitely recommend this little piece of paradise.
We had a wonderful time in this sweet little cabin! Perfect for a couple to get away from it all and relax in the serenity of the cabin and Beautiful lake! We were even treated by an Amazing loon playing right in front of us one evening. Highly recommend!
Beautiful views, front porch is awesome.
From the very start of this journey it was flawless. From the booking of the vacation to the communication between me and the owner. The cabin was to die for. Something out of a movie. A++++ I will be coming back again. Thank you so much. Michael L
We enjoyed the property a great deal. Being right on the water with a walk-in sandy access to the pond made it easy to swim and kayak and you can sit on the shore. There are neighbors close by, but the woods gave us privacy. The main room/dining area and porch had a pond view that let us look out over the pond at all hours and watch sunsets. As birdwatchers we enjoyed the eagles and loons as well as songbirds. The house is perfect for two people. There are lots of stores and restaurants close by in Augusta. The home seems new and is very clean. Next time we would bring a few more towels, linens and pillows to have options. We were glad we brought our own coffee maker. The driveway is steep but there is a parking area on the road, we would return.
It was a half hour from my Doctor's that I went every other day and help make recovery a quiet relaxing place. Will go back
