Home Access:
Guests will need to check in with the guard at the community gate. The house itself can be accessed via a smart lock. Prior to your arrival, you’ll receive a unique access code for a seamless and secure self-check-in experience.

The Neighborhood:
St. Malo Beach is a private, gated community known for its exclusivity and upscale properties. It offers a sense of privacy and security, making it a sought-after location for those looking for a serene and luxurious beach experience. The neighborhood is renowned for its French Normandy-style homes, characterized by their picturesque, old-world charm, including steeply pitched roofs, stone exteriors, and intricate architectural details.

Getting Around:
Navigating the nearby area is relatively straightforward. We recommend bringing or renting a car for the greatest flexibility, although ride-sharing services such as Lyft and Uber are also available. Oceanside is also a bike-friendly city with several bike paths and lanes.

» Guests will be required to sign a rental agreement
» The house has parking space for 3 cars only. Additional cars must park outside the gated community.
» No oversized vans (such as Sprinter vans), trailers, or RVs are allowed to be parked in the St. Malo community.
» All homes in Oceanside, CA sit behind a rock barrier protecting the homes from storm surges. The amount of sand beyond the rock barrier varies with storms, tides, and may have more or less sand than what is shown in photos.
» The home is located near the train tracks. Guests will hear train noise during the day and night.
» There is also a remodel taking place at the adjacent property. Construction activity may or may not take place at that property during the guest’s stay.

    Our stay here was the BEST!! This is a beach community I grew up visiting so it was fun to bring my grown kids this time around. Our host, Michele, couldn’t have been more gracious and responsive. The house had everything we could possibly need and was perfect for what we were looking for. It was a magical few days for us. We definitely want to go back!!

    We grandparents planned well ahead for our springtime Legoland visit with our adult children and grandchildren. We found and paid for decent accommodations months in advance and all were anticipating our fun time to come. It was so disappointing when literally three days in advance of our trip we receive notification of cancellation of the property due to plumbing issues in the house. What!!! All we could do is start over in our hunt for nice accommodations for the eight of us…at the busiest time of the year and at the last minute! Obviously, very little was available on VRBO in our desired price range but also just generally. Sometimes the best things happen when you least expect it and This “French Chateau” home rental experience was a perfect example of such! The home was beautiful throughout, exquisite in its luxurious offerings and the provided little extra’s. The surrounding neighborhood community was so charming it felt like we were residing in a Disneyland movie set. It was within easy proximity to other local features. Best of all though was the homes owner Michelle who was so wonderfully accommodating through the entire rental process and by personalized text during our stay, just to make sure we were pleased. If ever we decide to to return to Oceanside we would absolutely rent this home again!

    This property is excellent for families.We were an older group (65-75). So it would have been nice if their were grab bars in the bathrooms. But we managed to have a great time being together!

    The house was exactly as shown in the photos. It has plenty of room upstairs and downstairs. It is exquisitely decorated and modern. Very clean and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again!

    Gorgeous home, lots of room for our family gathering. Close to the tennis courts and short walk to the beach. Well appointed kitchen, large pantry, nice living room, nice sized bedrooms, everything in the home was very well thought out and made for a very comfortable and relaxing stay.
